This tumblr makes me want to cry. It’s so heartwarming to see a project focus on a human so, so, so, so much.

This is a good way to waste 15 minutes.
It occurs when the most high value contributors to a community realize that the community is no longer serving their needs any more and so therefore, leave. When that happens, it drops the general quality of the community down such that the next most high value contributors now find the community underwhelming.

I want this in my life.
Haven't made a glitch in a while. This uses some python scripts off a website, along with some Photoshop offset.

Hmm. I wonder where he got this from.
54. Parallel Signage
Currently, the signs in the subway are perpendicular to the car. As a result, it’s actually tougher to see where you are if you’re on the train.
If the signs were parallel to the subway line, it would be easier for travelers to figure out where they are. And this how the signs were originally intended to be installed, as per Bob Noorda & Massimo Vignelli…but designer suggestions can only go so far.
Big thanks to Hamish Smyth of Pentagram for the idea.

48. Queens Airtrain
The airtrain at JFK is invaluable. As Queens expands, it will be necessary to have a better system for getting to and from the airport. This would also make the area more attractive for businesses & airlines. 2 lines, coming from the N and 7/EFMR hub, will make it easy for commuters to come from Queens, The Bronx & Manhattan.
41. Exercise Call to Action
Experience isn’t just about making a system work better, it’s also about making people better. Using data, we can calculate & display how many calories are burned using the stairs and walkways instead of escalators, elevators, and automated paths, and use that data as a call to action to get New Yorkers out there and use the urban gym.
