screen names throughout the years
I thought about not venting and bashing China today and going the nostalgia route.
I think I speak for a vast majority of people when I say I was pretty embarrassed of the screen name choices I had growing up, but now that I'm old enough, I think I can look back and just laugh (at myself).
I am a gamer and was always a gamer. This screen name was created at the time when I was playing Mega Man X4 on PSX every single day after middle school. Zero, was too obvious, so I had to replace the Z with an "X" right?
Ok I take back my statement about being embarrassed about this screen name. Zero is awesome.
I will explain this screen name
two awesome "heroes" in one. please excuse the lack of photoshop/artistic abilities. The one thing I can tell youa bout this screen name is that I was not willing to let go for the "xero" name, but I wanted to incorporate the coolest thing ever (at the time), Pokemon in my screen name. What better way to do it then to combine my favorite pokemon with my favorite video game character?
From here on out, I will say I have no idea the order of the screen names I created because AIM was created and multiple screen names was the fad.
Again with the numbers, I always thought my favorite number was 3, but I don't know where the 305 came from, but this screen name definitely came around the time I started playing Starcraft and Starcraft: Brood War. After I look back on this, why did I choose him of all characters?
What he looked like in Brood War
What he looks like in SC2
So much more awesome now.
This is somewhat of an mystery to me, whether this was a Battle.net screen name or just an AIM screen name. Nonetheless, this one was embarrassing because look what I named myself after:
I can post another SC2 make over picture, but it won't really save me this time. This screen name came at the time when everyone (asian) was adding "aZn" at the beginning of their screen names. Does anyone remember what there own screen name was?
To my surprise, this screen name stuck on, but not many people know the origin of this screen name. Back in middle school I wanted a pair of these
There's been so many models of this shoe, I'm not even sure if this is the one, but this seems like something 7th/8th grade me would like. Spoiler Alert: I've never bought/owned a pair of these....ever.
Probably because I thought I was clever and decided to switch up the names.
ra ru ke (purnounced rah-roo-kay)
I went from Mega Man, to Starcraft, to Naruto. I thought throwing my own rendition of Sasuke would be cool. I distinctly remember this screen name as my "no one knows this screen name" screen name. Where I only had 10 people on my buddy list. I have no idea why this one was made because it's not like I was being bothered on my other screen name by anyone.
The only reason I regret this, is the nerdiest reason ever. So I will refrain from sharing.
So there you have it. My screen names throughout the years. I will say that the final screen name that I created before sticking with rkshox/rkshoks was an interesting last screen name. However my favorite will always be my original one when AOL started.
Will I ever go with a new screen name? I really don't think so, even though my interest of Nike Shox has been long gone, my friends only know me as rkshox.
