TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW, AND TOMORROW (Macbeth)

As we grieve for so many of our fellow human beings all around the world that fell victim to COVID 19, many didn't get a chance to say goodbye or even had a decent burial. As several countries, states and cities are opening for business, it is time to look back and reflect. I have some reflections twisting Shakespeare's Macbeth's monologue.

Any day the govt opens the country for business after so many COVID deaths.

Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, Creeps in this petty pace from day today, To the last syllable of recorded time. And all our yesterdays have invincible lives The way to dusty death. Out, out gloomy COVID! Life but a walking shadow, a COVID patient, That coughs and puffs his hour in the hospital And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by a minister that comes on TV Signifying nothing.. But isn't it upto you what you make of tomorrow? Then if we learned anything, shouldn't we create a greedless tomorrow?

Shylock has demanded his POUND OF FLESH from Antonio and the court has been unable to find any reason why the contract between Shylock and Antonio should be voided. COVID19 brought back the scenario of abusive high credit card interest rates into limelight like the Shylock asking you pay or I suck your blood (through they provide one or two months reprieve) especially in the vulnerable populations. Here's my take on it. The quality of mercy is not strained; It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest; It blesseth him that gives and him that takes. "Tis mightiest in the mightiest; it becomes The throned monarch better than his crown. The fine print of credit cards shows their power, The attribute to awe and bankers Wherein they acquired billions at zero interest But mercy is above the scripted contracts; It is enshrined in the Constitution It is created by the fathers of our nation And the peoples power doth then show In the Declaration of Independence When mercy seasons legality. Therefore credit cards Though legality be thy plea, consider this: That in the course of legality none of use should see salvation. We do pray for mercy, and that same prayer doth teach us all to render the deeds of mercy. I have spoke thus much To mitigate the printed devil of credit cards which if thou follow, the Peoples Court of COVID19 Must needs give sentence 'gainst the bankers there.
