Okay, several of you were inquiring about my new hobby, and I promised some pic, so…  Here is a three-eyed critter, a jellyfish, and a miniature Dumbo octopus.

No, I didn’t do the different colors on purpose, I was using variegated yarn.

And here is a scarf I made.  The pattern is called ‘Lily of the Valley.”  I love the way the yarn colors worked with this pattern!  Though I think I need to put fringe on the ends.

This is the first scarf I made.  The pattern is called “Rosebud.”  And, this is also variegated yarn.

Well sounds like you’ve really been creative and makin new things. I’d love ta see em too. Maybe you can teach me how to crochet..but I would assume it would kind of be like knitting right?

*laughs*  I would very much recommend Youtube tutorials to learn the basics over me trying to teach you!  I’m still learning myself.  I used a free Choly Knight pattern to make the jellyfish, and it was very thorough and easy to follow, and you only have to know the basic stitches. I used a multicolored yarn to make mine and I’m very happy with how it turned out.

I did know how to do basic knitting, once upon a time, but it’s been a while.  I think some of the basic principles are the same with crocheting, but I think you would have to decide for yourself.

Heh I’ll keep that in mind. But I’m sure you wouldn’t be a bad teacher. I would need more hands on techniques and someone there instead of just learning it from the computer. I myself prefer knitting but I am open to other things like crocheting and sewing. I’d love to learn how to sew.

Bit shaking. Going to travel alone outside Finland for very first time. Going to Dublin in May. it is as exciting and fun as scary and… nerve breaking? I booked a place from Airbnb. Still shaking cos’ picking good place to sleep was so hard and I am still wondering did I choose wisely! That place is near enough to spots I want to visit, near to shops, seems to be quiet at nights, cheap enough (compared to hotels), I can store some food for evenings and mornings, hosts seems nice, it is good place. It is cheap and better than those hotels. Hotels are expensive and I want to save for my USA trip. This is good. Just need to remind me those good things. This is first time and it is okay to feel nervous and stuff like that. I am not going to war zone or anything like that. Trusted place and stuff in Airbnb will help me if needed. My parents help me to look things with me. Flight to there happens at reasonable time. I. Will. Be. Ok.

Woow that’s super exciting. Traveling can be both fun and scary because you never know what could happen. But you mind telling me why you’re traveling alone instead with someone? Do you have no one to travel with?
