Learn to give yourself grace.
I present to you a situation in which you would typically start saying hateful things towards yourself, but the catch is, this particular thing happened to somebody else. You would deal with that person a little more compassionately than yourself, I assume. Then why not you? Understand that you are just another human being who has "messed up" but is now trying to actively do better, which is the most important part. Be a little kinder to yourself. Just a tab bit. And then tomorrow a tad bit more.
