Miscellaneous things I like/appreciate/find interesting about House as a character
I think it's really cool how he is with kids, treating them like equals. It also almost seems like he likes them more than adults, given how he sprinted in Forever.
The music. I love how much of a role music seems to play in his life, whether he's playing or listening.
He is, at least early on, willing to sacrifice for his patients. The biggest example that comes to mind right now is when he risks his medical license to put that bulimic lady on the heart transplant list.
He actually seems to be quite extroverted and need people. This was more of the case before the infarction but it's quite clear it's still the case. I think some of why he hires hookers is for the (non-sexual) companionship.
He was extremely active before the infarction, and I think that's part of why it hurt him so much.
As a hockey fan, I have to like that he watches hockey!
I love how he likes his soap opera, that detective book series, and The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Legend.
When he loves, he loves hard and entirely. The guy falls hard and fast and deeply.
His relationship with his father seems to be more complicated than just strictly hate. He still has his sword and gun.
I also find his relationship with his mother interesting. He seems to like her/respect her at some level and doesn't even seem to care much and might actually be happy for her when he learns how many men she's had sex with.
His relationship with his parents regarding his infarction is also interesting. How he seems to feel like a disappointment for being unhappy despite his success.
I like when he plays with his ball or whatever other random objects. Or even just his hands.
His clothing choices are 100000/10. Shoes king. His t-shirts are also amazing.
