First I want to say that I'm deeply sorry for the loss of your employer Mrs.Hussein at the hands of the IOF/Israeli Army. And I can't imagine what her daughter feels about losing her mother on Mother's Day. I hope to help you raise the appropriate funds for Layla's medical care/insulin and treat her diabetes as she deserves a right to life and so do you to keep her company and the comfort that would've been otherwise and often be given by her mother even though I assume that you have probably assisted Mrs. Hussein with meeting Layla needs as a housemaid. I know that we cannot make up for the loss of her mother but we can make sure that she survives through this genocide with much needed and generous donations. Do you need to evacuate from Gaza? I haven't forgotten about you, I just wanted to write an open letter to the Palestinian people as a whole and all oppressed people across the globe to express my gratitude towards you guys. So I hope you stick around so you can read it. Cuz I want you to know that I care deeply for you guys even if it feels like us in the west don't care much about anything. As you bear the brunt of the violence inflicted through our silence therefore making us complicit in your suffering. So I understand your anger and rage.
I feel truly sorry for this inconsiderate and despicable behaviour and I feel secondhand guilt and embarassment for it even though I haven't individually engaged in such behaviour that others have indulged in. For I started to speak against injustices faced by oppressed people when I was 8 years old but I was deemed too young, dumb and naive to understand the complex issues around the world let alone do anything about them as they doubted my efforts to create change.
But once I got old enough reaching the blossoming age of 18, I started to actually and actively raise awareness about the fight against oppression and the fight for liberation cuz that should be a mundane laudry list of activities organised through collective action. As I already felt the interconnectedness of our struggles cuz anytime that colonizers/oppressors were oppressing people, I would go no wonders cuz they're oppressing me too cuz if they're doing that to them what makes me think they're not going to do it to me too? Like they won't stop at anyone and they'll go on until we all comply and experience the worst of any suffering never observed in history cuz they can wield the power of technology against us and wage psychological and violent warfare against us in ways that would be unprecedented but I digress.
Even before I learned about insectionality or educated myself about anything around this leftist and sometimes inaccessible language or jargon, I could truly feel my way into what was going on and see right through it like the empathy was empathying and the compassion was compassioning and my strong sense of justice has been justicing long before I knew anything! So I've been actively engaging in activism ever since so I want to highlight that that's why we should support the activism of the youth cuz we want to make sure that everybody knows that the future is worth fighting for as we stand on business because we born on business periodt. If you don't want to help or contribute to our cause then just sit down and get the fuck out of our way!!!
I used to identify as a pacifist but then it clicked. Evil people rule the world because moral people think it's wrong to fight back. God knows we will have to.

Maybe she would have been a doctor, or a farmer, or a engineer. Maybe she would have advanced the field of physics or medicine, written a best seller novel or stared in a major movie production; Or she might have had a quieter life, the world might have never known her name, but her friends and family would have and that might have been enough.

Yello tumblr, I'm sure y'all have heard about the PSA to start blocking celebrities, because we the people control the media with our attention, and those 'let them eat cake' fuckers don't deserve our attention while they are actively participating in the aid of a genocide and being used as shields for the 1%
Anyways, what I've been doing is just going through my follow list and everyone who has over 1M followers and isn't talking about Palestine is unfollowed and blocked. Also, any time I see a block list pop up on my fyp, they go too!
If you're not sure where to start, may I suggest looking up block lists on social media. If you're on TikTok, search 'blockout2024' and boom! You have tons of places to start. If that's overwhelming, start with the people you personally follow.
There is no fucking excuse at this point. It has been seven months of genocide, they have had their chance to speak on it. Everyone in the fucking world is talking about it, there is no way in hell they don't know what's going on unless they've been intentionally ignoring this, but a genocide isn't something you get to ignore.
