Remus Lupin:
Oversized sweaters that give him paw hands Hot cocoa by the fire in the common room
The smell of rain on the breeze
The fog of breath after a hard run through the trees
I am picking this as my final artifact because it contains head-cannons, and a literacy I have not previously looked at, a mood board. A mood board is a collection of pictures and words that fans may feel capture a character of place from the original source. Much of the time these have no evidence from cannon backing them up. I think this gives them a great head cannon feel because they are peopleâs original ideas about the characters. People love these becasue they are simple and elegant. They add an element of realism to the original literacy works. This is literacy as an adaptation because they are re-purposing pictures. This is literacy as a state of grace because the images and words have to flow together for this to make sense. This shows literacy as a state of power because the author of the mood board decided what the character is feeling. This board is looking at Remus Lupin, specifically in the winter. It examines what he might have loved to do or drink. It also examines the feelings he might have had during his winter transformations. The images seek to capture him, and all of these things. There is a magic in that because the image selection has to work for the mood board to make sense.Â
