of all the things i don’t get about this fandom is how anyone believes any of the marauders (of lily, for that matter) would ever forgive wormtail??? 

like, okay, sometimes your friends fuck up and if you’re a good person you forgive them and i get that in theory but like??? peter didn’t just hurt one of them? he was directly responsible for lily’s death, he was directly responsible for james’ death, he was directly responsible for sirius going to azkaban for twelve years for a crime he would never have commited, he was directly responsible for remus losing the two best friends he ever had. and like, sure, i’d get it if people thought james would forgive him for being responsible for his own death, but to forgive him for what he did to lily and remus and sirius? lol. 

and the same goes for anyone else in their little group, and that’s without even getting started on the fact that he’s such an unforgivable piece of shit he literally sold out a baby to voldemort to keep his own neck safe. he. sold. out. a. baby. even if it wasn’t his best friends’ kid, he still sold out a baby. lily, james, sirius, remus–they’re fucking freedom fighters. they’re trying to take down wizard hitler, and people legit think they’d be okay with someone who’d sell out a baby? smh.

and yeah, sure, none of them were perfect, and sirius was reckless and didn’t think anything through, and if he’d stopped and thought for five minutes he’d never have been sent to azkaban, but his best friend is dead. he’s blaming himself.  he’s grieving. the man responsible is going to walk free because there’s no evidence of it. so he does what he’s had to do since the war started, what the ministry clearly could never do on their own–he takes justice into his own hands. 

and i’ve seen people implying that sirius going after wormtail is as bad as wormtail’s actions and??????? ???? ?????? wormtail sold out his best friends and a defenseless baby to save his useless ass. all sirius wanted was justice.
