There’s a protest going on against AI art over on artstation, so I feel like now is the time for me to make a statement on this issue!
I wholeheartedly support the ongoing protest against AI art. Why? Because my artwork is included in the datasets used to train these image generators without my consent. I get zero compensation for the use of my art, even though these image generators cost money to use, and are a commercial product.
Musicians are not being treated the same way. Stability has a music generator that only uses royalty free music in their dataset. Their words: “Because diffusion models are prone to memorization and overfitting, releasing a model trained on copyrighted data could potentially result in legal issues.” Why is the work of visual artists being treated differently?
Many have compared image generators to human artists seeking out inspiration. Those two are not the same. My art is literally being fed into these generators through the datasets, and spat back out of a program that has no inherent sense of what is respectful to artists. As long as my art is literally integrated into the system used to create the images, it is commercial use of my art without my consent.
Until there is an ethically sourced database that compensates artists for the use of their images, I am against AI art. I also think platforms should do everything they can to prevent scraping of their content for these databases.
Artists, speak out against this predatory practice! Our art should not be exploited without our consent, and we deserve to be compensated when our art is exploited for commercial use.
Itssss THE SPOOKY MONTH!!!! I DONT CARE THAT ITS DECEMBER!!!
HAPPY LATE HALLOWEEN

I see you unfollowing. Good. Don’t fucking stop. This blog is pro choice, pro gay, pro black, pro trans, pro sex work, pro go fuck yourself
Friendly reminder that this blog is pro-choice and if you don’t think everyone should have full control of their own body, then kindly unfollow me right now and go to hell
Intrulogical for you guys! This ship has been eating at my brain despite the fact that there’s not much content for it, so I shall contribute.
Sylvia Rivera calling out gays and lesbians for their trans exclusion in 1973 at the Christopher Street Liberation Day rally (x)
Still relevant
And if I’m not mistaken, Sylvia Rivera was *specifically* addressing WHITE gays and white feminists here. She called out these middle/upper class white folks who strove only for assimilation while neglecting Black and brown LGBT people who were poor and struggling and languishing in prison. White Gays and feminists didn’t like the way revolutionary figures like Sylvia were “rocking the boat”
Specification is important here because antiblackness and racism are still rampant in the LGBT community and Black + brown LGBT folks have had to make communities of our own because white LGBT people ostracize us.
want some positive world news? yesterday, in a truly historic moment, Colombia elected its first left-wing president. after 20 years of far-right rule, the traditionally conservative country has elected the remarkably progressive candidate Gustavo Petro (and his running mate Francia Márquez, who will be the first black woman to serve as the country's Vice President!)
for context, imagine if the U.S. had successfully elected Bernie Sanders (after 20 years of republican presidents). that's how big a deal this is. amidst a dangerous global rise of conservatism, this is an enormous win and a cause for hope.
#love that she got elected on Juneteenth #THAT is how you celebrate Juneteenth
i hope everyone with acne, eczema, vitiligo, psoriasis, dermatitis, and skin conditions have a good day today
thanks guys while im here PLEASE put an acne option on your picrews
Happy pride month!!! I hope you all stay safe during it! I am so happy with how far our community has come, not saying that its perfect, but its alot better. I have met so many great people through it.
Caught by Suprise (2022)
Just realized that in Sanders Sides, once the orange side is revealed you would be able to make a rainbow out of the all colors associated with the sides. That was probably on purpose the more I think about it.
Soooo might have not done a mermay thing BUT I did do that Cartoon Network Palette challenge going around, and it was really fun to use these colors!
