we’re just going back to cable. we’re just going back to the circumstances that led to Netflix being created. and people are going to feel less and less bad about pirating because no one wants to pay for five million streaming services that don’t even necessarily protect you from ads
Absolute greed on main too. It’s not like these companies don’t already make a shit ton of profit. But it’s never enough, is it? Because the definition of success in our capitalist hellscape is a never ending increase in profit margin. If a company just maintains the same heinously unethical profit margin for a few years, you get econ hacks at Forbes or whatever writing pieces about how the company is “failing”.
