Aziraphale's Bookshop Headcanons

-There *is* an ‘open’ sign, but it’s in a very unwelcoming font, and whenever it’s up the door is almost always shut and most of the lights are off

-It’s absolutely obligatory to mix books about the eighteenth century with books from the eighteenth century

-You go to pick up a book and the inside cover has a very personal, paragraphs long inscription from the author, under which ‘£15’ has been hastily scrawled in pencil

-When Crowley is turned out of the bookshop he usually goes up the street to sulkily eat expensive cake at a café that isn’t actually open

In othet news, I knew I could trust you Neil. Everyone else was freaking out about the mad 80’s hair on Crowley. But I had faith, and it has been REDEEMED.

*gasps laughing from the floor* chops ha ha …

In other news, I was overall lukewarm towards Sheen. Tenant was the apple of my eye.

But seeing these production pics, I’m feeling the begining of love. Look at his face! Look at his stupid, adorable face! He’s like a happy little lamb.

the thing i cant get over is david tennant doesnt fit crowley at all….. i could very easily see michael sheen as aziraphale because hes got that ethereal salt and pepper soft boi look but crowley is one of those characters that while he is goofy and comic relief that david tennant could absolutely deliver hes still also supposed to be a little bit of an edgy boy. he still tries to come off as a little bit suave and dangerous like his idol james bond and david tennant has none of that hes too normie. i dont think david tennant can properly depict a person like aj crowley with deep seated control issues who makes it his life goal to make everything he does revolve around a series of extremely elaborate Power Moves like i just cant see it hes too innocent and normie to capture that specific kind of neurosis

Does anybody else get this thing where they have a new idea for a story except that its not really a whole idea? Just like, a picture or a scene from a movie unfolding in front of you? Only its so clear, so sharp and strong that you know its going to be a story. It burns inside you, making you replay it again and again, from a new angle each time because you want to know, need to know, how this fits in a narrative.

Like, you see the characters and how they look, you know the setting, you know the motivations (but not the context), and every minute detail and nuance of expression or shadows or well, everything.

You even know what sounds the characters can hear, what sensations they are feeling. You know what music would be playing if this was really a movie.

You just… don’t know how it fits into a plot yet.
