She rolled the coin between her fingers before flipping it into the air, resisting the urge to reach out and catch it. Instead, she watched as it clattered against the ground, rolling away and out of her reach. Out of her reach, just like so many other things in her life…Closing her eyes, she took in a deep breath before exhaling slowly. There was no sense in hanging on to something that was no longer a possibility. After her coin had lit up, and those words had reached her ears, she had given up any pretense of pretending everything was okay. Nothing was okay right now, and it would not be for a long time. Turning away from the coin, she headed for the Stormwind bank, reaching into a satchel to pull out the scroll of parchment she had been carrying on her person for over a month now. Her mothers writing was the only thing on it, the words always ending in a blur when she tried to read them. She knew well what it was by this point, something that still worried her greatly. Her mothers maiden name had carried a large weight long ago, before her death. After the fall of Gilneas, it still held something, something L never wanted. Entering the stone building, she headed for the back, sliding into the room that was in a corner and sitting down in the chair on the otherside of the desk. The woman across from her lifted her head, giving L a knowing smile as she held out a hand. “I see you made your decision, Miss Elenath. It pleases me that you will be taking over your mothers estates and titles.” she informed L, taking the scroll from her when it was offered and smoothing it open. “According to this, as well as the records we hold, your mother was the last remaining Ravendall. Due to this, you would technically be Lady Ravendall, as well as the owner of Ravendall estates and all companies associated with them. Is this, to your knowledge, correct?” the woman questioned, glancing up briefly. At L’s nod, the woman clicked her tongue and nodded, turning to the shelf behind her and picking up a locked box. Setting it on the desk, she opened it and rummaged through the contents, taking them out one by one. “In that case, Miss. Elenath, you will furthermore be known as Lady Ravendall. If you chose to use this title or not, it is entirely up to you. I will also give you the key to your mothers estates, her bank vault, and the deed to all companies the Ravendall’s owned. This includes a mine and a gem company. Your mothers family was very wealthy, though I doubt this is news to you. I do believe she had it set up for you to have access to all her money from the start.” Nodding, L took the things that were offered, only pausing when the woman rested a hand on her own. “Listen, dear. I know this is a lot, but what you are doing is right. Don’t let your mothers line die with you. Carry on the Ravendall name, for I knew your mother and she was a wonderful lady. In her vault you will find a great many things, the most important being your families heirlooms. Your mother had a crown that once belonged to your grandmother, as well as a great many social clothes. Be sure to make use of them, for I know your mother would want you to.” she said softly, gently patting her hand before leaning back in her seat. Clutching the key to her chest, she exited the room and headed for the vault, stopping in front of it and resisting the urge to cry. This was the last of what her mother had left her, and it was a heavy burden to bare. A burden she never wanted, but knew she had to accept. She would not let her mother’s legacy die, even if it was exactly what others wanted. Instead, she opened the door, stepping inside and looking around. Her eyes landed on a ornate relic that stood proudly in the middle of the room, the marble carved perfectly into that of a raven. Moving forward to touch it, she lingered for a moment, a ghost of a smile tugging at her lips. How apt that their relic was that of a raven.
