"His biggest problem will be his attraction to blonds"
- C.S Pacat probably
It was my pleasure to contribute this fic to the @fandomtrumpshate auction this year and bring @escapeinmybookshelf's prompt to life.
The cafe is quaint and quiet, a warm blanket of soothing normality. That’s the first thing Ginny likes about it. When her brain buzzes with the static of holes, and she can’t stop poking at the torn edges, the cafe is where she goes.
The moment Ginny crosses the threshold the smell of coffee beans and cookies greets her.
One breath. Two.
Her shoulders inch down.
One more.
The tension in her temples fades into a background hum, drowned out by the clatter of porcelain and the hiss of pressured steam into milk.
Summary:
You have anterograde amnesia— the first page of her notebook reads.
—that means your brain can’t make new memories. Every night, while you sleep, your brain resets and you forget about the day before.
On the 3rd of February 2001, a car hit you on your way to hockey practice. You sustained a broken arm and severe trauma to your head and spine. When you woke from the coma, you knew who you were, but you could not make new personal memories.
The condition might be reversible; only time will tell.

seeing a lot of posts about fandom being an avenue to improve your craft and etc which is true but also you dont have to polish your work ever. no one NEEDS a beta. you dont even have to edit. you can just make stuff and its already worth sharing just because you made it.
I love when authors get all hyped about their own fics and the plot twists they just dropped. Like, I’ll scroll down to the author’s note and it’ll be something like, “omg you guys I can't believe that just happened!!!” — as if they weren’t the ones who literally wrote it 😭😭 It’s so cute. It makes me ten times more excited to read because if the author’s losing their mind, I know I’m about to lose mine too.
i love clicking on somebody’s ao3 profile and seeing the most nonsensical collection of fandoms. like yess let's live a thousand lifetimes
The prophecy 🌚
I love thinking about Renarin being extremely shy with other people and especially with Rlain, but in the same time he has the most vivid imagination among the entire human kind, and literally any of his fantasies can make blush even the most impenetrable person
i love when you spot a friend's username in the list of kudos at the bottom of a fic and go ah yes. of course I'd find you in this particular den of depravity. glad to be here with you, comrade.
Not sure about anyone else but I re-read all my favourite AO3 comments when I’ve had a rough day so if you’ve ever taken the time to write a deep, funny, or just kind comment, thank-you.
James: Having a crush is ruining my life but if you saw him you'd understand Sirius: Describe him James, panicking: I don't want you imagining him
rereading your own fics/wips is a very slippery slope into finding out you actually have to finish your fics if you want them finished
oftentimes two guys who want to fuck each other not fucking each other is hotter than if they fucked each other
Write that one-shot. Those 3 chapters will be the best 10 chapters you ever wrote
It's actually 11 chapters now... OH NO WAIT!
forgive me father for i am back on my bullshit
ok i was curious (and on a non-insignificant amount of medication) about whether Harry refers to Voldemort or Sirius as "handsome" more often so i decided to count how many times people/things are referred to as "handsome" in all 7 books. i didn't count things that are referred to as NOT handsome or as No Longer Handsome or Once Might Have Been Handsome, just times Harry (or someone else) refers to someone as handsome. draw what conclusions you like. I did not count "beautiful" or "gorgeous" or "good-looking" just "handsome."

"Why are you smiling at your phone? Is it a boy?"
Yes actually. Its two boys. And they're doing unspeakable things to each other.
