Mckinley did the best that she could manage, juggling her work, social life and duties as a mother. She found that the help of a nanny named Genji made everything much easier, Chelsey even became best friends with Genji and looked forward to their days together.
Even with the extra help, by the time Mckinley would get Chelsey to bed she hardly had enough energy to drag herself to her own room.
Then one morning before Mckinley left for work, Genji called with a terrible cough. He had become ill and wouldn’t be able to watch little Chelsey. Mckinley had no other option, she would have to take Chelsey to Uptown with her while she gave her speech.
She sat Chelsey in the front row where she could watch her and gave her speech. After she was done speaking and went to mingle with those who attended, she caught Chelsey standing among the crowd making a mess and causing a scene with paints that Mckinley hadn’t realized that she had in her pockets.
Mortified, Mckinley grabbed Chelsey and quickly left for home. She realized then that something like that could never happen again. She needed help and she needed it now. She and Justin had to get married and fast.
That night Mckinley called Justin and was happy to learn that everything was set and they were finally able to get married. Mckinley insisted that they hurry and set the date for the upcoming weekend.
She slept a bit more soundly that night, knowing that things were finally starting to look up.
