Audrey Hepburnās note to my Grandmother on Flickr.
Found this in my grandfatherās house. Addressed to my grandmother, from Audrey Hepburn.
this was via me, btwā¦Ā Along with 3 otherĀ student ājournalistsā at Brown University in Spring 1992,Ā forĀ a campus magazine calledĀ Issues,Ā I interviewed Audrey Hepburn when she came to chair and keynote that yearās āWorld Hunger Awards.ā After the interview, of course, the 4 of us broke protocol and all asked Ms. Hepburn for autographs. In one of those quirks of fate, we all asked her to sign things to our parents or grandparents. And she could not have been more gracious or angelic to me when I asked her to sign the back of an Awardsā event program for my grandmother, Ida.
Ms HepburnĀ passed away soon after in 1993; my grandmother in 2011 and my grandfather in 2012. I had not seen this again until now. So xclnt it was framed and kept long enough to come back to me as a tumblr post.
