Tips on life so you can have more self love time and less stress
Get any college/school assignments done as soon as you get them. Proofread them halfway before the deadline. This gives the writing time to âageâ so you see more mistakes.
Do not give people too many chances. No matter how much it hurts, or how caring you are. Remember: Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
Make your bed DAILY. I cannot express how important this is. With my schedule right now (that includes working out, cleaning the house, making dinner, etc) I have to do this. It make a huge difference. I suggest making it as soon as you wake up in the morning
To go with that, clean your room DAILY. I know how fucking off the wall that sounds. Not a deep clean, but you need to get trash and dishes out, do laundry. Trust me. It will lower stress levels
Study in 30 minute time periods with 10-15 minute breaks
Write down any weak concepts and at the end or beginning of the week (weekend is cool too) focus on those and do tons of practice
Stretch stretch stretch. Sometimes just laying on the floor and stretching my arms out helps me
Green tea is good to drink in the morning. It helps me feel awake and energized and is great for organizing thoughts
Thereâs a brand, I forgot their name, but you can buy the bottles on Amazon. âCalm nowâ and âdrift offâ are my favorite. Theyâre completely natural and have herbal medicines for a wide range of things. Some people have had great luck with this.
Allow yourself to be treated to a massage. Iâm serious. You donât realize how many knots you have until someone massages you and then you feel so much better
Heating pads are a life saver. Whether youâre cold, your back hurts, or youâre on your period it will help.
Make it a goal to eat one fruit a day and drink at least two bottle of water a day. You can buy a massive case of water that will last a while.
Lay off the coffee for a little bit to breathe and refresh yourself.
Do not take abuse. If you have suspicions or are hiding something that your partner/etc/anything is doing, thereâs probably a reason for that. It gets better.
Make a reading goal. One book a month/one book a week. It will help.
School starts in a few weeks and I want to do some easy "glow ups" or like simple stuff I can do to make myself look/feel better before then. Any suggestions?
Girrrll I gotcha! With these tips, if you follow them, I can almost promise, youâll not only look and feel like you are a fucking goddess, but you will make everyone around you feel like you got your whole life together.
Organize your whole everything for school. Have the first day of school outfit ready, your bags ready, brief yourself on what you will be learning.
Coconut oil your hair a ton and then stop doing it 4 days before school. Thereâs a post right here on hair tips. But not only will this make your hair grow, it will glow.
Moisturize yourself every night and morning. I just use coconut oil but you can use whatever you want. Put 3 dots on the spot you wanna moisturize and rub until your hands feel funny. Make sure you donât add too much, though.
2 days before school you could (skin care routine in no specific order):Do a peel off mask for everywhere but your nose. Then do a blackhead remover on just your nose . Pimple bandages on places you think acne is coming in. Moisturize (If you rub, rub upwards and then pat.). Toner (Pat pat pat)
To have glowy skin on the first day:Legit before you go to bed, the day before, put on a like face mask. THen when you wake up go ahead and wash up and stuff. Donât forget your toner and remember to DAB it on. Also the night before, put pimple bandages on.

Start taking your daily vitamins boo
Fix your sleep schedule. Go to bed at like 10 and wake up an hour before school.
Put a smart look together for school, this includes makeup if you wear it (if not itâs okay youâre just as beautiful && glowing) what I mean by this is like, what kind of look are you going for? Baddie? Classy and sweet? Hella casual? Piece one together based off of this. If you want to look more mature, you need to piece something together that screams âI have my shit together and Iâm not playing this year, I have goals to achieve.â
Start using a planner correctly
Eat breakfast when possible. Avoid anything that will upset your stomach and go for small and simple. If you canât do this, take a vitamin to boost your day.
Bring water to school. It seriously pays off to have some water with you.

HAVE YOUR MAKEUP LOOK READY. No joke if you dnt knw what kind of makeup youâre gonna do on the day of school youâre gonna be stressed af

A messy bun, light mascara, skinny jeans, shoes, and an oversized sweater goes a long fuckin way.
But so does sweatpants?
And also, youâre going to want to AVOID procrastinating those assignments at all costs.
Yes, I went there. When you get an assignment, especially homework or something thatâs âdue __ days from nowâ you want to do it as soon as possible.
So an example would be to do homework when you can like, say you arrive to a class but the teacher isnât there or the kids are talking and class aint started: Get the homework from your other class out, work on it. OR you can go ahead and start briefing yourself on what youâre gonna have to do.
USE THOSE THINGS RIGHT. You know that annoying ass syllabus and textbook you get that youâre 90% sure you wonât ever use? Stop everything youâre doing and read the syllabus.  It should have something like all the topics youll go over. Example âintroduction to biologyâ or something. So, if you want to get ahead of your class, when you go home, google the first one. Have a notebook or a google doc open and jot down notes. Watch youtube videos on it..etc. This is especially true for subjects youâre scared about failing in. If you do this and continue to do this throughout the school year it will pay off. You can use your textbook with this too.
Ask your teacher stuff.  God I know everyone says this but I mean it in a different way. If you want to do the above in a more advanced way, ask them about 3 weeks into school âwhatâs ahead of youâ
Stay away from drama at all costs. If some girl comes to you talking shit, act like youâre listening but pay it no mind.Â
Donât be afraid to go in pajamas. Giirrrlll I went to work today in my damn pajamas. Deadass in fluffy ass pajama pants and flip flops okay. Donât be afraid.

Transitioning from Summer Vacation to School
This is a longgggg post on mental illness, I donât see a lot of mental health posts in the studyblr community so Iâd like to help change that.
I have severe GAD and MDD and so I know like a lot of people that before the first day or second third (etc) day of school itâs really hard to just relax so I got some tips Iâve gotten from my psychiatrist and my therapist on how to cope with anxiety but some of these are tips that work for me and that might not work for everyone but if you have extra tips feel free to share! (((Iâm making separate posts on panic attacks and depressive episodes))) If you donât have a diagnosed mental illness this still helps a lot of people
1. Re-evaluate your goals for the week month and/or year Now that school is starting, they donât have to be the big things though. For me, my goals are just getting out of bed, taking care of myself, studying and doing assignments on time. These small victories can build up and boost confidence so when you do have that test your testing anxiety wonât be as bad but manageable.
2. Finding new coping strategies Stress is up now because of school, I have college applications to worry about, graduation, keeping my grades up, marching band etc. So when I do have panic attacks or just overwhelming anxiety and stress in general the new strategies can be more effective in the long run. Remember: More is better
3. Talk it out Definitely when my anxiety is overwhelming I talk to a friend to help blow off steam. But family is also an important option.
4. Remove toxic people đEnough.đSaid.
5. Talk to your Psychiatrist/Therapist You may not have a diagnosed mental illness but seeking out help if you feel your anxiety is out of control is absolutely necessary. They also help with suggesting new coping strategies and assist you if you need a lifestyle change if thatâs what you feel you need.
6. TAKE.đYOUR.đMEDICATION.đ I canât stress this enough, I admit I have issues with taking my medication but I set alarms, reminders ANYTHING to help me take it whether I want to or not. Taking medication does NOT make you seem weak. Seeking help does NOT make you look or sound weak.
Bottom line is: your mental health is more important than school, and this is counterintuitive to what I have been saying but PLEASE đđŒ get help if you need it. If you need to take less AP classes to make you feel less overwhelmed then take LESS!!!! Donât carry the weight if you canât handle it and be honest with yourself. It doesnât matter what everyone else is taking and it doesnât matter how âdumbâ you look. Your mental health sound be your FIRST priority or else how will you succeed. Iâm not an expert but Iâve lived with my mental illnesses since I can remember and itâs crippling but doing small things and having small victories helps.

Here you are. A guide to the shit you can expect from highschool and overall what to fucking avoid. Like. Youâre about to be a FRESHMAN which means youâre so confused and like??? You donât know what to DO. Some of yâall are really gonna come after me but bitch idc. Letâs go. @ All tweens becoming teens or teens that are still just fucking L O S T : This is what youâve been waiting for.
Drama - People WILL start drama. Itâs your best bet not to talk about x person or about what x person did etc. Trust me on this, youâll get fucked over REAL quick
Fuckers Central - Man it is EVERYWHERE. There will be so many fuckwads playing people. And donât even get me STARTED on the bullshit slut shaming that goes on. Maryâs best friend encouraged her to lose her virginity sure but then proceeded to shame her. DONâT DO THAT. JUST. DONâT.
Teachers - Some will be chill, some will not. Stick to your grades. Make an AMAZING impression for the first 3 months of school. It will pay off because the teachers will see you as a golden child. Donât do what I did: Get in trouble for being a sarcastic asshat on the first day of gym class.
This being said: Donât be afraid to make some mistakes and some memories! @-@ Be safe, have fun, take lots of pictures (if thatâs your thing) because it will be fun to look back on.
Memory Ideas: Wanna keep track of some memories and shit? I got you.Polaroids, a scrapbook or photobook, and a journal will take you a long long way. As cheesy as it is, youâll be able to read back on the day you and your best friends got suspended for a glitter war. yes, I did that.
Important!!!: Take extra care of your mental health. Highschool and middle school are HUGE places when it comes to mental health dropping. You need to start stretching, looking for ways to cope etc.
REALLY IMPORTANT!!!: If you can, please please please try to avoid self harm and eating disorders at all costs. PLEASE. Find other ways to cope. Iâve been there, done that. It will not just be tiny and small for a short period of time, I promise you. And if you already have started: I STRONGLY urge you to recover.
For the Emos and future Emos: Have your fun, but donât make fun of or trash rap/hip hop/pop because it isnât your style. I used to do this (especially because my ex boyfriend hated anything other than metal with a PASSION and i was afraid)Â
Popular Babes: Donât make fun of others because theyâre lower in school status, you donât have to be âperfectâ and yes itâs okay to make mistakes. Youâre allowed to stop wearing makeup, you DONâT have to have that perfect brand if you canât afford it. And fuckbois are everywhere darling.
Physical Health: Try to eat at LEAST one healthy meal/week and go on walks. It pays off. The goal here isnât to lose weight, but it is to take care of yourself.
Skin Care:Â Donât be too harsh on your skin but I do recommend sunscreen + moisturizer. Today I made a honey + sugar lip scrub and a honey + cinnamon blackhead mask that left me feeling and looking amazing. DO NOT pick at your skin! Also itâs a good idea to get wrinkle cream and a dark spot brightener. Mainly because this is when I and others started to get these things!Â
Teens with the Vs: Discharge is normal, so is having a natural smell. If youâre worried, feel free to google it! Periods are rough and if you are experiencing extreme cramps, I really recommend you go to the doctor. If your period isnât on a cycle, go to the doctor. It might be a good idea to have a thin sweater (oversized) in your locker or bag, just in case you bleed through your pants! And also, YES, birth control at this age is normal to get. Speak to your parents about it! CARRY PADS/TAMPONS WITH YOU. Stock up on undies. You can never have too many undies. oH and masturbation is completely 100% okay and normal and you donât have to be ashamed of it.
The Sex : Many people start having sex at this age and thatâs fine. I encourage you to carry condoms with you. Do not feel like you need to have sex if you donât want to. Birth control may be an option for those with vaginas!Â

Honestly baby you need to set goals in every area of your life, prepare for them and actually do them. Do not settle for less and stop putting shit off. When it comes down to it, people ainât shit so donât let them get in your way also thank u i love u more mwAH
one hard pill to swallow (that i had to learn myself) is that in order to actually learn coping skills and progress with living successfully with your mental illness is that you have to take action. whether thatâs going to therapy or removing yourself from toxic enviornments/people, living your life solely for yourself or whatever. you canât sit around venting forever and expect it will change. theres only so much understanding and patience that others around you will have. sometimes mental illness is a burden on others. itâs a burden when you have access to help and choose not to take it. sometimes itâs exhausting. thereâs no magic day where it will all fall together. you have to actively make that magic.
