putting camille and raphaĂ«l on hiatus. meanwhile, iâll still be popping in and out of the dash and iâm still up for plotting anytime.
meanwhile, apologies to those i owe replies/starters to. work has been really busy and i havenât been in the best of health, but iâll be back real soooooooon
and iâll just plonk my tracker here as well~

âYeâ can stay, Iâll goâsound well?â
his heart drops a little as soon as she removes her hand, the warmth that lingers on his skin soon disappears. sure, he felt slightly threatened by her myriad of knowledge that challenged his, but sheâs a ravenclaw herself after all, and he shouldnât fault her or her opinion.
raphaĂ«l isnât much of a talker, really, especially with the people heâs unfamiliar with. the demise of the smile on her face discomforts him, and he silently berates himself for his introverted personality and the lack of ability to properly hold up a conversation. he does fault her for barging into his personal space, though.
forming proper conversations and friendships outside of his tiny social circle have never been his forte. maybe heâs going to try, this time.Â
holding back a laugh, the corners of his lips seem to point upwards. âah, itâs alright. iâm not too good with strangers,â he pauses for a brief moment. âor physical contact.â
he winces just a little as he hear the tiny âsmackâ that lands on the back of the otherâs palm, self-inflicted. it wasnât such big of a deal, anyway. âdonât do that,â a smile works its way onto his face and he feels his cheeks get oddly warm at her statement (that sounded like a compliment), âoh, um, thank you...â
eyes tracking her hand that signals to other girls around them, he widens his eyes at the numerous girls who had turned away from him to avoid his eyes at the same time. sure, he was pretty observant, but he fails to notice the amount of attention he gets from the opposite gender. he believes itâs because heâs friends with the flower boys, still.
the rest is a blur as he fails to listen to what the other is spouting, but he does recognise a foreign language. irish. heâs heard the language during his family trip to ireland, though itâs nicer to hear it up close (almost personal).Â
âoh,â his hand extends just slightly to the other, âyou donât have to leave.â
donât be bitter about it « r^2
âDo yeâ understand what Iâm gettingâ at?â
his lips press so tightly against each other- the other was really out to invade his personal space. observation has always been his forte, the slight tint that paints the top of her ears peeks out of her hair, the little sparkle in her eyes that he finds very endearing (âno!â he tells himself otherwise), the little details that donât slip from his attention.
raphaĂ«l could easily excuse himself and leave, he doesnât even know her anyway, and time is too precious to be spent on something (or someone) that isnât productive for him, especially when heâs trying to get something done. itâs probably because he doesnât know what to do with the hand that is now resting on his shoulder, and he cringes at the touch because itâs so foreign.Â
her accent fascinates him, though. heâs pretty much used to the french that dances off the tongues in his hometown, and the popular american accents he has heard around the school, but herâs sounded so much like a cowboy that heâs almost tempted to stay on just to study her tones.Â
âi have,â she's really being pushy right now, âi have.âÂ
âthat mix does sweeten the potion, but,â he slowly reaches his hand out to get his parchment back, âthe tingling sensation isnât what iâm expecting to get out of this recipe iâm crafting.âÂ
that formula had left him with a burning stomach (he tried it), almost similar to that of firewhiskyâs (he tried it), and it wasnât exactly the best feeling to have prior to getting some sleep. âthatâs kind of not what i was going for,â he answers, eyes narrowing at her hands that are now resting comfortably on his arms.Â
casually ignoring the wink that was sent his way, he shuts his potions book and gets ready to leave- he really doesnât want to but sheâs getting kinda creepy.
ânot really, but thanks.â

âRaphael Rowe. Donât you walk away from me. Or act like you donât know who I am.â she replied in a dangerously low tone.
he loathed the thought of her, and with her standing in front of him right at that very moment, he wanted nothing more than to just get out of her way. the girl had avoided him like plague as soon as that very, downplayed night was over, but he had managed to overturn the situation and perhaps, believed that they were something more.
raphaĂ«l never really meddled in love and relationships, because he hadnât found the right one yet. but as soon as he met her, he believed she was the one, but she turned out to be like any other girl that he had expected the rest to be, and he was devastated. like an abandoned pup, he had been kicked to the curb and she never looked back. while still hurt, he had made sure to erase any trace of her in his memory, and never liked the green house ever since.
were they all like that?
he hated hearing her voice. ây-you,â his shoulders drooped a little because he was never a courageous soul, and he never spoke rashly. âyou donât get to control me. not anymore. and iâm free to identify the people i choose to remember, and the people i donât.â

The halls were quiet and Jojo was pleased with this as she made her way down the somewhat empty corridor. No males to whistle at her, no girls to fluster her.Â
It reminded her of the time she first met Raphael.Â
Raphael Rowe was a boy she had met during her fourth year at Hogwarts and had instantly-despite her best judgement and to her own mild surprise-become close to him. From that closeness stemmed infatuation. She had seen him around sure, but since he was a year above herself she decided it was best not to let her feelings grow.Â
However, there had been a dayâŠ
Keep reading
raphaĂ«l had been at his desk for the past three hours, working on his wizarding law paper that was due the day after. heâd usually complete his tasks early, but he had been very distracted. it was october, and october wasnât a month he was fond of. he decided to leave the paper alone while he took a short break and collapsed into his bed, head resting on his folded arms. shutting his eyes, his mind began to wander.
he really shouldnât be wandering around the hallways after hours, but he couldnât fall asleep. constantly battling an insomnia condition, it was never easy for him to get a good nightâs sleep, and dreams kept him awake through the night. he never remembered those dreams, and he hated them.
in the dark, a figure staggered towards him, and he furrowed his eyebrows in curiosity. it probably wasnât a prefect, for a prefect wouldnât be staggering. he moved closer, with a need to find out what exactly was happening. was it an intruder? a drunk ghost?Â
raphaël watched as the figure dropped to the ground, and he rushed over in concern. bright pink hair, pink cheeks and rosy lips. he swallowed, because the girl was kinda pretty. nonetheless, he needed to help her before the prefects rounded the corner, so he picked her up and carried her on his back. he felt her move, and his heart beats a little too quickly for a while.
âno,â he responded, âi donât get girls, and if i leave you there, youâre going to get caught by the prefects.â
it effectively shuts her up, and he took her back to his room. no, it wasnât anything wrong, but she was drunk out of her mind to even tell him what house she belonged to, and he couldnât just leave her anywhere else. as he set her down on his bed, he tucked her in, and quietly hushed his roommate and sent him away because itâll be hella awkward if she were to wake up to two guys staring straight down at her.
he doesnât realise that he instantly fell asleep beside her, lethargy taking over his body.
raphaĂ«l awoke to violently jabs on his shoulder, and he frowned in annoyance. heâs ready to turn and send the girl on her way, but lips meet his and he found himself in a locked embrace. it was so unexpected, but he didnât seem to want to pull away. it was his first kiss after all, and everything seemed to move at such a quick pace that when he opened his eyes, she had hurried off.
âdonât look for meâ
that was probably the first thing he heard from her, sober, but it certainly wasnât the last.
he decided to go on a stroll down the hallways, because he simply wasnât able to focus on any of his work at all. wrapped in his robe, he took a slow walk down towards the great hall, planning his route in his head. his plan was almost completed when he felt a hand brush against his, and stopped in his tracks.Â
it was familiar.
he furrowed his brows, instantly tucking his hands into his pockets to avoid any physical contact with her. âiâll just- take the other way. sorry to have bumped into you,â he replied, face devoid of any emotion, âi donât know. i donât know who you are, or what you are.â

Clearing her throat, Rose resettles, leaving his personal space completely and laying his parchment back on the table, where it belongs. âAnd, why didnâ yeâ put Agrippa in yerâ potion for dreamless sleep? Seems pretty important if yeâ donâ want to choke it down, yeah? And what about the honeywater? Itâs a very essential piece donâ yeâ think?â
his eyebrow twitches while he watches his quill being grabbed by the fellow ravenclaw. âwhat an intrusion of personal space, and how rude,â he thinks to himself, letting out a silent sigh. interruption was one of the things he loathes the most, and this girl has just gone on to trigger one of his peeves. sheâs a ravenclaw, she shouldâve known better.
raphaeĂ«l stares as the girl brings his parchment (his parchment!) close to her face, and he bites back just the tiniest smile because she looks kind of stupid staring so intently at the text. but he grimaces as her face changes, and he knows sheâs feeling perplexed over his recipe. why is he feeling so affected by her facial expressions anyway?
the pout puts him off immediately, having seen many girls do the same thing in front of his other pals, and he knows exactly what sheâs up to. as she flinches away from him, he internally heaves a sigh of relief, having gotten his personal space back.
raising an eyebrow at her odd accent, he ignores it but focuses on her proclamation. he doesnât like being questioned, especially by someone who he didnât even know, but he doesnât express it. he doesnât challenge it, either.Â
âagrippa is an ingredient that can be omitted, actually. though it does reduce the need for other ingredients, taking agrippa out of the recipe makes the potion significantly less bitter,â he answers, taking his quill and parchment back from her while avoiding contact with her fingers. âand honeywater is an ingredient for the potion for dreams, not dreamless sleep.â

he couldnât say no.
at the age of seventeen, he struggles to say no. he attempts to say no, especially when the situation is clearly disadvantageous for him, but the word will always fail to escape his lips.Â
itâs a strength, yet a flaw. it makes him a good person, yet a bad one. putting others before him was a norm, because everyone should receive benefits. and thatâs what he believes in, and thatâs his goodwill.
despite so, there he stood. his fists were clenched in the pockets of his robe, lips pursed. he feels his eye twitch just a little, and he tries to conceal it. a fellow classmate stands before him, friends behind him.Â
raphaĂ«l stares at the green tint in the otherâs hair. so thatâs where his money went.
the slytherin grins, âhey, iâm kind of running low on funds and i really need to get that new edition of the charms textbook. could you, as my deskmate, do me another favour?âÂ
another favour.
the request, thrown at him carelessly, lacking any form of genuine expression. he never had an issue with lending, but at that point, he knew he was being taken advantaged of and he doesnât think he could âlet it beâ any longer.
he takes a deep breath, and stares straight into the eyes of the other. ân-no,â he stutters a little, but keeps his stand. raphaĂ«l feels his fists clenching at this sides, and he feels slightly empowered for once.
a sharp pain hits his shoulder. âwhatâd you say? no?â the slytherin growls, breaking his personal space by taking a step closer. in response, he backs off just a little, forming distance between them once more. âi said, no.â

Rose canât really figure out why sheâs here. The Great Hall is practically empty, save for the students who have no lifâI mean!ânothing to do on a Fridayâwhich, I guess, makes me a part of the bunch tooâŠBecause, even though there were a million and one things Rose could be doing, like you know, potion making, potion testing, orâŠ.well, really thatâs it. But! The important part is that she isnât doing anything of the such. Instead, sheâs in the empty dinning hall, a plate of leftovers in her hand, and wondering why she didnât just eat in the kitchens.
Not to mention, her gravy looks a little too thick.
Great.
Shaking her head, Rose makes her way to the Ravenclaws table which, surprise surprise, has the most people seated at it (becauseâwhy would her housemates have lives when the semester just started????). All free of their robes, theyâre gathered at one end of the table, oddly enough. And itâs as Rose is making her way to sit as far away as possible, that she sees him.
The sun is shining out of his assâholy shit, itâs RaphaĂ«l.
Rose doesnât think thereâs a girl who doesnât know who he is, considering all the whispers going around about him and his friends. And, while any normal person would play it cool, Rose is nothing of the such soâthere she goes, redirecting herself and sitting down right on the left of him.
Alright, here we go.
Just as she opens her mouth to cutely initiate conversation (and she did mean cutely), she finally sees what heâs working on. Or, what his quill is working on.
âOooh! What are yeâ makinâ?â She asks, moving even closer to see what his quill is writing. âAgrippaâŠmoondewâŠpotion for a dreamless sleep then?â
he pretends to not notice the swarm of girls sitting in close proximity (but not very close after all), and focuses entirely on his quill and the page of his book. it wasnât that he wasnât interested in any of those girls, heck, he wasnât interested in those girls, but he liked girls. just not in general, like his friends eli and helios, who were constantly bathing in girls.
he doesnât mind being in the same bunch, but sometimes, he hates the attention. he wasnât charming like eli, neither was he charismatic and dashing like helios. man, his self-esteem must be really low.
raphaĂ«lâs careful to control those thoughts, wouldnât want them being penned down on his book of potions, would he.Â
heâs interrupted by a voice, too high to be any of his guy palsâ, yet too......cute-sounding to be any of his own friends. almost on instinct, he shifts uncomfortably away from the figure, feeling the locks of her hair just barely touching his shoulder.
swallowing his nervousness, he tells himself to be a little more outgoing for once and try to make a friend. thatâll probably convince eli and helios of his sexuality (totally straight!!).Â
âi-â he starts off, moving a little further away, âyes. dreamless sleep for potion- i mean potion for dreamless sleep. agrippa isnât in it, though.â

There were a couple of things that could get Eli to spend his free time in the library. Most often, the reason was nappingâobviously, there was no better place than between some stacks to catch some Zâs. Another big motivator was a cute girl. The idea of spending some quiet time with a beautiful lady could get Eli to do anything. But, strangely enough, the reason that got Eli into the library today didnât involve anything of the such.
In fact, currently, he was even sitting at a table with a book cracked open in front of him and reading the text.
Which only meant one thing: Raphaël.
It was close to lunch time and the two boys were seated at the same table, sitting quietly in the busy library. Normally, Eli would mind the idleness, but something about the Ravenclaw made him comfortable with the silence they shared. And, while not even Raph could get him to study, Eli usually used the time they hung out to catch up on some light reading.
Plus, Eli also didnât mind the numerous amount of girls who openly showed their interest at the both of them. Unknowingly, Raph was a great wingman with his reserved qualitiesâsomething about the mystery seemed to attract. However, despite it all, rarely did Raph ever find a girl he was interested.
But that didnât stop Eli from trying.
And with that thought in mind, he waved at the group of girls making eyes at them from across the room, causing smiles and concealed laughter.
âLooking to make some new friends, Raph?â He said as he sat his book down and focused his attention on the girls.
[ @ravraphael ]
the library was like a sanctuary for raphaël. not only were there books, the place provided comfort and a quiet place to study, while being devoid of noisy beings in densely populated areas of the school.
not that he was making a reference to the ravenclaw common room. the people in his house were pretty chill, but he does feel slightly pressured whenever heâs there, because everyone was constantly advancing their knowledge and heâd prefer to do things at his own pace.
heâs really been neglecting charms. a little confusion during class wasnât at all a good sign, and no, he wasnât being a goody two shoes. he just wanted to at least be sure of the things he was learning, and apply them correctly in the future.
something, or rather, someone, has been rather distracting despite being quiet. the area was silent, but the aura was distracting. glancing at the boy beside him, he could only let out a small sigh. eli was obviously bored, though not shown on his face with a book in front of him, but he knew his friend well enough. âare you actually reading it,â he asked, eyes not leaving the text in his charms book.
eli had been one of his closer pals in hogwarts, though the other was in the other house. despite being vastly different, standing at different ends of the spectrum, they always seemed to balance out. he preferred being alone, especially in quiet areas of the campus to completes his daily dose of studying, but he had always let the hufflepuff sit beside him in silence (not exactly, because the giggles that come along in the background can be insanely annoying).Â
he took a small peek at the girls across the room, eye rolling just a little as he took another look at eli. the other was waving.Â
âum, iâd prefer not to,â he answered the other, setting his book down. eliâs eyes were ablaze with something raphaĂ«l had been very familiar with, and he wasnât too excited about that.

@roisin-rvn
the great hall is quiet today.
raphaĂ«l frowns, taking the occasional glance around to spot any hints of chatter. there isnât, which is oddly weird, considering that it was past school hours and the campus would usually be bustling with excited students.Â
âoh,â a reason strikes his head, and he nods to himself, as if it was validation. it was a friday. most would probably be at diagon alley, or anywhere fun. the great hall was fun, but lacked any activity that didnât scream âstudyâ. though he preferred the great hall over the library, for it wasnât suffocating, or dead silent.Â
he reverts back to his work. potions is undeniably one of his favourite cores, and he loved brewing up his own concoctions and further improving on pre-existing potions. but he wasnât up to challenge the original creators, neither was he up to prove anyone anything. it was all merely for fun, and for his own self-improvement. he was ravenclaw, after all.
potion for dreamless sleep.
pausing at the page, the tips of his lips gradually twitch upwards. the potion was known to have a tinge of bitterness, almost like the saying, âbitterness now, sweetness laterâ. dreamless sleep was always sweet. the bitterness was intolerable, for he himself detests the lingering feeling that dances across his tongue, penetrating his tastebuds and making him want to gagâ even thinking about it was enough to make him cringe.
so how could he make it taste slightly better? perhaps like candy? or flowers?Â
he points his wand directly at the quill on the table, leading it as it rises up from its original position. it hovers over his open book, waiting for a command. words flashes through his head, and the quill begins to write. nonverbal spells were one of his forte (took him a while to master), though many would say that picking up the quill and writing it on his own would be a whole lot easier, but he still does it anyway.

Xerena had been thankful the year had started at Hogwarts. Fall was a dreadful season, it was a whisper of the coming season of death, however the beginning of fall was always Xerenaâs favourite time of year. Not too warm, not too cool, just right for her. Just cool enough for sweaters and scarves, just warm enough to forgo coats and gloves.Â
She found herself, as always, studying outside in the courtyard. She loved the courtyard, truly. With her charms book in hand she found herself drowning in the words on the pages, people passing by as blurs in her peripherals. It was an expected reaction, then, when the wind decided to pick up and anotherâs scarf flew right into her face, knocking her from her world of knowledge and back into the present.
She flailed a bit, trying to get the scarf out of her face, huffing as she scrambled about, looking like a complete fool. Once she finally had the scarf in a bald up bundle, she looked around with a scowled, trying to find the owner of this most obtrusive scarf.
he sits on a bench in the courtyard, a wizarding law book in hand. but his eyes are unfocused, as they dart around from person to person, watching them closely as they go by.
âoh no,â he mouths to himself, tracking the scarf as it flew directly into the face of a foreign girl, someone heâs never met despite having spent almost seven years in hogwarts.
he wasnât too much of an outgoing social butterfly after all
shutting his book hurriedly, he gets up to approach the victim of his scarf and nature. âwhat am i going to say what am i going to say what am i going to say,â he berates himself for failing to wrap his scarf around him a little bit tighter. human interaction wasnât a fear for him, but heâd rather avoid it, especially with people he didnât know.
âiâm so sorry,â he extends his hands, hoping to get his scarf back, âthe windâs not really being nice to me today.â
