Uptodate - it’s an evidence-based clinical resource collection of medical and patient information, access to drug monographs and drug-to-drug, drug-to-herb and herb-to-herb interactions information, and a number of medical calculators. It’s written by physician authors that is why it is always updated. The algorithms is really helpful, easy to understand and very medical student friendly. It requires a subscription for full access.
MIMS- very easy to use! Instead of bringing a mims manual with you everytime. Not to mention it’s time consuming manually looking for a specific drug, this app is only one click away. All thw information you need to know: indications, dosing & contraindications, etc. are all here. It’s also free! So get it now!
Medscape - if you need the pathophysiology, presentation, medical or surgical management & prevention, it’s the app that you need! It is simplified. So if you need to review or refresh yourself on the information about a specific disease it os really helpful.
Forest - to stay focused & to avoid from distraction in social media, I used this app. You can personalize the time you want and you’ll be free from distractions. Despite of the easy to go apps available nowadays, I still recommend that you read your prescribed books. If you’ll just depend your readings on the internet, then what makes you different from other individual who are not in med school but can also have access on it? Think of it. 🤔
