I decided to use bright contrasting colours to make it seem outlandish and alien.

Here is our final design. Lydia sent me the indesign file and I made minor adjustments to spacing and typface as well as turning off hyphenation.

This is a potential layout I designed for our flat magazine project. Lydia is designing another layout option and I think hers is better so we'll probably end up using that. I went for some quite experimental choices because the design is supposed to be alien. I think next time I would need to make the boarders between columns larger. The actual space between them would be enough for a regular magazine or newspaper but having it be designed on such a large scale makes it seem too cluttered with borders as small as these.
