In honor of the birthday/ anniversary of Raya and the Last Dragon,

I want to express my gratitude for both the RATLD fandom and the movie <33

Honestly, finding that there’s an active a bigger community than I expected that also shares my prime interest has made a positive impact on me since I’ve always felt kinda ashamed for liking an underrated movie 😭💀 I’m just happy to have a community where I can openly talk about my interest in RATLD without feeling judged. What I appreciate the most in this fandom is how much effort you guys put into keeping the fandom alive with your amazing artwork and incredible fanfics that never fail to make my day .. <3

Regarding RATLD, the movie itself, I’m honestly grateful for it as a Filipino. I understand, it may not have had the best representation but, it’s better than nothing. And how many say the message was executed oddly but I personally think you just have to think throughly to understand the message. RATLD has helped me gain confidence about my skin as I’ve always felt so indifferent growing up since I’ve primarily been told that having pale skin is the beauty standard. And RATLD has made me notice and appreciate my own culture more. I just love having at least one southeast Asian based princess to see myself in.

Overall, im really thankful for this movie and this amazing fandom. 🫶🫶
