Today I’m sharing my fan art of Namaari from Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon. To be completely honest, I didn’t really like the movie. The plot felt super childish, the twists were incredibly predictable, and resolving a massive conflict with a basic "friendship is magic" cliché was bad decision. Plus, the characters animation looks the same (with the same energy, gesture and rhythm). It isn't actually good animation acting.

BUT! I absolutely have to praise the visual team. The graphics, the world-building, and the character designs were top-tier. Namaari’s look was so sharp and badass that I just couldn't resist drawing her back then, despite my frustration with the script.

I can't believe Namaari liked the cat costume!

I gave it to her without expecting anything in particular, but it seems to have made her happy... Now she's running all over the island like this
