Jean taking Jeremy by the chin in the next book and murmuring in his thick, sexy accent “Jérémie, may I kiss you?” and Jeremy hoped it was coming but didn’t actually expect it and so all he can do is offer Jean a meek nod. He watches with bated breath as Jean closes the small gap between their faces and once their lips touch, Jeremy has to be held up by Jean’s strong arms as his legs turn to jelly beneath him. Jean’s kiss is soft and a bit shy, but it’s the most enjoyable first kiss that Jeremy has ever had with someone. It makes him clutch at Jean’s biceps, makes his head swim. He kisses Jean back with the same sort of gentleness, his head lofty with disbelief. They kiss for what might be a few seconds or a few minutes. And once they pull away all they can do is look at each other before the dam breaks and the cord of mutual attraction that’s been deep-rooted between them finally snaps. Tan hands bury themselves into black curls and Jean presses Jeremy against him, their mouths not fighting for dominance but instead having a heated conversation with the key words being: “I want you.” Jean pushes Jeremy against the wall, against the dresser— wherever he can so he can focus on clutching at Jeremy’s hips, drinking in his taste and ‘it’s better than I ever imagined.’ Jeremy moans against Jean’s mouth and scratches at Jean’s scalp and when they finally pull away (x) amount of time later they’re both breathless and panting, eyes glazed and half-hooded as they get their bearings again.

As I re-read the books for the (I lost count) time, I found this part so funny. One, I like the playful banter that Derick and Derek have with Jean, even if it is one-sided lol. And two, I love how Jeremy side-eyed Jean like, "Mm, so you teach him French and not me", so Jean immediately said, "No, it wasn't me". It's cute lol
