A selection of older/classic Hip-Hop songs from my iTunes library
So I just finished watching GASLAND 2. And It's horrific that the gas companies have so much power in our government that it allows the government and the states to disregard the environment, the Ecosystems, the communities, and the people who are affected and WILL be affected by the effects of natural gas extraction (fracking - hydraulic fracturing). Water aquifers being polluted to the point that the water running out of someone's tap/faucet can be lit on fire because of the methane it now contains. Earthquakes are happening at an alarming rate in California because they are fracking on the San Andreas fault line. People moving out of their houses and farms, some families of which have lived there for generations, have been given settlements and forced to sign non disclosure agreements to keep them from talking. Fracking has to stop or it will endanger the country, possibly the world, and the only people benefitting from it are the oil companies and the politicians/government officials being paid off to let it all continue, in complete disregard to the constitution, private property rights, and to the health of people and families across the country.

Obvious food picture. Cheeseburger with pickles, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard, toasted onion bun. Seasoned fries w/ ketchup. Cherry cola. #yummy
So apparently the Space Jam theme and Gangnam Style match up perfectly, right down to the same BPM and key.
Awesome
Reblog if you know this song.
I’ve been missing in action for a couple of weeks! Hectic times! Lots of drawings and other new exciting but busy developments.
I did finally get a chance to finish up my contribution to the Pokémon Battle Royale show at the Light Grey Art Lab Gallery in Minneapolis MN! I was asked to draw Team Rocket, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the selection. Prepare for trouble etc.

Lots of cool folks have done lots of cool stuff! Check out the opening on April 20th if you’re in the area!

This is a comparison shot of one of the dresser drawers that I haven't done anything to yet (top) and the drawer that I sanded to bare wood, put 4 coats of waterlox on, and finished with a top coat or furniture wax and buffed it out to shine.
Check out the link to my Flikr page to see a couple more photos.
First woodworking project since high school
It isn't something I'm going to sell though. I'm currently restoring my mom's dresser, which I think is a cedar (not sure though). I have to sand off the existing finish because it is worn out and not very protective at all, and then apply multiple coats of my own finish. Using a traditional hand rubbed finish, it is shaping up to look beautiful. I use Waterlox, which is a Tung Oil product, but also has some varnish in it to add protection that the oil doesn't add by itself. And then I'm giving it a top coat of a furniture wax which is buffed out to give it nice sheen. Expect pictures soon. I'm doing this project drawer by drawer, so it's going to take a while before the whole dresser is done. But from what I see on just the first drawer, it will definitely be worth it.
