Hello and Goodbye

I know, it's been 7 years.

If somehow there are any of you reading this, wow. Hello. This will probably be my last post to tumblr. But just know that I am doing well and living my life the best way I can. My account was previously abandoned, as my real adult life began and my interests changed. After I while I lost access but got it back so I could kinda clean this up and close this out. I have some additional info in my about page to explain it.

The main reason for this post is the recent news with RT. RT and AH was a huge part of my life back in 2013-2017. I connected so much with the community. I got to get so much creativity out through my stories. But real life came, you know - being an adult and paying bills and student loans. And RT changed so much. Over the years we kept hearing more and more stories. Awful things. I stopped supporting them a long time ago. I'm glad it's over but I wish the good people that worked there didn't have to find out the way they did. I hope they can all find great opportunities out in the world. So while I don't mourn the company, I mourn the experiences I gained from being a part of the community. For gaining a deep friendship through that community. For helping me in a time where I was struggling to find and accept who I was as a person.

So, here's to the end of an era. I hope you all move on to great things in your lives. I know I will.

I love that I can talk about literally anything and everything with my boyfriend and he’s cool with it, from science stuff to politics to disgusting poop talk to afterlife theories.

he may not be the most attractive man but I love him. tbh maybe a little I wish he wasn’t as awkward as he can get sometimes but he cares about me and listens and loves and accepts and is stable. I think that’s more than I can ask for, tbh.

(because most guys either are too emotional or too flaky, in my experience)

just fyi though I am back i prob won’t post too fequently. life is crazy.

but anyway, i loved the superbowl. not only bc I’m a Pats fan & New Englander, but also bc I loved Lady Gaga’s performance. It was a lovely throwback to her old songs and cool outfits. I think you probably had to be at least a little bit of a Gaga fan to appreciate the show more, but I personally loved it.

I know my boyfriend is grieving but I miss him and low key want him to hold me bc im lonely but Im not going to get in the way of this difficult time he’s going through

Does anyone on here even care to hear about my day to day shit or? Bc I could get back into this. But life gets busy sometimes.

I basically just want to use this to post shit I normally wouldn’t want other people irl to see on my facebook or whatever.

So, to answer your question, no I have not dropped off the face of the earth.

so there’s this documentary I watched for a class called Growing Up Trans (which a PBS Frontline doc I highly recommend), which is very interesting and very well made.

It also makes me think how kids are going through so much and then the parents are trying to help make these huge decisions which is so difficult on everyone involved, bc these parent’s don’t really know what it truly feels like for their kids and can only observe and hear what their kids tell them.

But, still, there’s some parents there that aren’t so open minded and it frustrates the hell out of me. Like, personally, if my child was transgender and was repeatedly telling me this year after year I’m not going to just sit there and wait on it. I’m going to do everything I can... but the medically irreversible ones are hard too, of course I would need to have several serious talks with my child especially if it’s around puberty. Yes, I understand we’re always changing and our minds don’t stay the same always but gender is such a different thing than their hair color. It’s something much bigger that if, from a young age throughout now especially (though it’s not always the case), they still know they feel and are putting more words to and are maturing and still know this is how they feel, you, as their parent, should make steps to help them achieve their goals. That’s just how I feel about it.
