while bex isn’t the ruthless and seemingly evil woman she used to be, she still has a bit of a temper, so crossing her probably isn’t the best idea.

wanting nothing more than to be there for her niece and get her through whatever identity crisis she seems to be going through, bex has decided to join hope’s guard.

       this kiss placed against her head caused for rebekah to momentarily close her eyes, allowing herself to relax -- even if it was just for a second. ❝ i am fully capable of protecting you and nik just as well as you have protected me. ❞ the blonde challenged lovingly as she looked up at her brother. truth be told though, she was pleased with the idea of having her brother’s to look out for her again.

REUNION : for one muse to run into the other again after a long time.

rebekah had lost a lot of people in the thousand years she'd been on the earth, but the loss of hayley had definitely been one that had hit her the hardest. not only had she been hope's mother, which meant that rebekah had to watch her niece fall apart after hayley's death, but she had also been rebekah best and truest friend.

rebekah would be lying if she said that she hadn't been hopeful for hayley's return since finding out about the return of the dead, but she had yet to actually be reunited with her best friend -- that is, until now. catching a glimpse of the familiar brunette across the street, rebekah was quick to ghost herself towards hayley. ❝ took you long enough. ❞ the blonde teased her friend as if no time had passed. // @ofxcrescents

       Isabelle didn’t hesitate to hug Rebekah back, squeezing her friend tightly for all the centuries that had passed since they had last seen each other. ❝ Of course I missed you, ❞ she said, smiling and looking Rebekah over, she looked so different from when they were both living in the little Village, but in so many ways she was the same. ❝ Nik told me all about everything that has happened in your life on the other side, I would very much like to meet this Marcellus that he spoke of, ❞ she said, smirking slightly at Rebekah, like they would tease each other as girls. 

       it was quite a relief to feel the embrace of her friend after all this time. she hadn’t realized just how much she’d missed isabelle until now. ❝ good answer. ❞ the blonde mused with a smile. she watched as her friend seemed to give her a once over and took a moment to do the same. while she herself looked rather different than the last time they’d seen each other, belle looked nearly identical. a laugh fell from the original’s lips at the mention of what her brother had mentioned while on the other side. ❝ of course he did. ❞ bex mused with a roll of her eyes. at the mention of marcel, she found herself blushing slightly. ❝ i’m afraid that my husband is still in new york, so that may have to wait a while. ❞

       He chuckled, for the moment his vengeance and anger made way for how much he’d missed his little sister, and the joy that he felt in seeing her again. ❝ Why don’t we concentrate on me seeing how my sister has been for the years that we haven’t been around to pester her? ❞ he asked, pulling her in for another hug and shaking his head, she looked well which was all he needed to know, and despite everything he could tell that she was alright. ❝ Niklaus has returned as well? ❞ he asked, the burden he’d felt initially lifting somewhat knowing that at least he was not brought back without their brother. 

      words would never be able to express the love that rebekah had for her brothers, so having two of them back in her life after what had felt like ages without them was making her incredibly happy, despite the circumstances. ❝ miserable without my obnoxious brothers, of course. ❞ the blonde mused with a playful smile before falling back into her brother’s arms. pulling away from the embrace once again, bex offered elijah a nod in response to his question about nik. ❝ he has. along with many others. ❞
