“You are welcome.” The notice that she had yet to introduce herself caused her to shudder at the lack of manners. “I am Empress Celeste of The Loctus Dimension.” She bowed her head low. “And yourself?”

“You might have some knowledge about my race but apparently it is not enough. For now remember one more thing. I am not the one who does the praying.” Thor observed her for a moment longer before stopping circling her. His expression changed as well - from the one heralding an oncoming storm to calmer, warmer.

“Ah. It seems I misunderstood. There was an implication you were the one responsible of their deaths. That spitting did add to the imagery of general resentment towards your people. Nevertheless, I am not going to prevent you from fulfilling your personal quest unless it threatens the innocent. I do understand your pain but I won’t let you bring the same pain on others. I do hope we are on the same page, Celstrian. Be wary of other inhabitants and you might find yourself a home.”

“I am well aware of your placement in some nation’s pantheon. I have been called such things before. The Greeks thought my line to be Iris before, the Christian God borrowed of our powers for the great message to Noah and his Ark. You are of great power and your people have great technological prowess but you are far from the only god among mortals.” She is cool and calm as she says so. “Do you not also take advice and power from your ancestral line? All Fathers I believe?”

The tension is cut slightly when the two are at an understanding. “I do not resent my people as the Cestrians are not my people. They are the vile race that has killed every one of my race.” She sighs. “I shall never take innocent lives. It is not my pleasure to even take those of Cestrian’s truly but an eye for an eye and a being for another. I have sworn on the deaths of my people that the only use of my gifts will be for the betterment of the world. I am currently without a kingdom but I shall never set my crown aside. Not until another has come to accept the line.”

“His name was Lucifer Box. He was an English spy. He once met a being who called himself Beelzebub, but I think it was an alien using human religion to blend in. I will have to find his journal to see if that being matches the description of those monsters. He didn’t like Beelzebub, and as far as he could tell, he killed it. Or at least got it to go dormant.”

“Lucifer? Much like the Anglo Christian name for the devil? That is quite the name.” She smiled. “That is quite the story too. Your great-grandfather is a great warrior much like yourself? Did he teach you himself?”

The name Beelzebub was another of those names. “Was your great-grandfather closely related to that of the Anglo Christian faith?”

Each footstep seemed to draw up steam from the ground below. Her body temperature, far from the average being. She took great pride in who and what she was. That was something that took years to do considering she use to call herself a monster. Something about this one was different yet in some ways similiar. She was curious. “That it is. What is your name?” She asked, smiling softly. This woman didn’t seem a threat and infact, she found her to be pretty. “It seems so. So you’re from a realm that’s like—an island in some ways?” She remembered islands back when she use to train with the kree. “ Ah. Well, it sounds beautiful. As for the crown, I enjoy the fact that I earned my way to it. As well as the fact that I have most respecting and bowing down.”

This woman, if she could be called that rather than whatever it is that their corporeal form called itself, had strength in this realm that rivaled many though it seemed more than entirely at home on her. “I am ᄃσᄂσƨƭiλпөяiλ but many call me Celeste in the more common tongue.” She bows her head. An Empress knows when to offer respect to another. “An island...I am unsure if it could be called as such. The rules of this or the Terran realms needn’t apply to my home. Such things like gravity and physics don’t truly apply. It was beautiful though.” She is lost in the memory again but returns back to now as she hears Valeera speak. “You have earned your crown?” She smiles. “Interesting. Learning the many ways others achieve nobility across the dimensions is a hobby of mine...How did you earn it?”

“How do you do that?” He murmured in admiration of whatever power she seems to be in control of.

Celeste peered out to the person who’d shot at her before her hands swung around in a choreographed manner before a red tear in space-time appeared in the triangle her fingers made. A red beam shot out of pure energy that shot at the assailant, knocking them out cold. As her hands separated the concussive winds blowing around her dimmed and she turned.

“My ancestors grant me abilities...like the kind that tell me about you. You are hurt...in pain. Is that true?”

Watching Spider-Man finish up, Celeste dropped from the top of the nearby building, making her three-point landing before sauntering up. “You are crafty. I give you that. Your use of chemicals is quite fascinating.”

“Yet apparently you have heard of us.” Thor started slowly circling the other, carefully observing her each and every move. Calling her words alarming would be an understatement and that alone forced him to prepare himself for a possible fight.

“Does them being dead mean there is nothing else to worry about?”

“I have. Living in this dimension for the past 5 rotations has awarded me the knowledge of your people. That and my guiding ancestors have told me of your race.” Celeste watched him encircle her, not shrinking a single inch.

“You think my people are the ones to worry about? If we had ever wanted to destroy other dimensions or peoples we would have. We didn’t even forge an attempt on those beasts that plagued us. We were happy and peaceful but now all I have is the echoing screams and pleas of my people that haunt me every step I take. I am the last of my kind, Asgardian.” She growled. “By the ancestors who gift me power I have made it my life’s mission to avenge them. The lives lost. Not one more, not one less. For every person they took from me I shall repay in kind. Unless you be a Cestrian menace you have no need to fear me. Though if you are I suggest you pick a deity and ask for it’s blessing in your trip to the afterlife.”

“You thought right.” That wasn’t something Thor wanted to debate on in that very moment. Still a rather sore subject.

“I do not think I have any recollection of your people.”

She waits a moment noticing the lack of enthusiasm before quirking her head at his mention of her people.

“You probably have never heard of us for two simple reasons. One, our dimension isn’t exactly close to any in this area. Secondly, I am the last of my people. The Cestrians-” She spits on the ground upon saying it, “destroyed every last one of my people aside from me.”

“Derogatory?” She mulled the thought over in her head. “My apologies. I am not of Terra either...not of this dimension really. That is the term those of this world use for me.” She hums to herself. “You are jaded. It is understandable.”

With a flash from her ancestors, Celeste smiled. “You...you are Asgardian. I thought many had gone to your Valhalla. Much like all of my people and Arimaine.”

She had been to several places in her long lifetime. Some she wish she could forget and others—she wouldn’t dare forget. Especially Xandar and Hala. My, did she miss Hala. Muspelheim was large. Seemed endless considering the vast wastelands that were lava filled. Having visitors was a rare thing. She watched as the other shed her coat and tilted her head once more at what she was wearing. “Thank you.” Valeera smile softly. Most would have a far more negative reaction to the realm. She took a few steps closer. Eyes flickered down. “That I am. Name’s Valeera. And yes, the crown is rather heavy though–I love what comes with it.”

After a mixup with portal creation, Celeste ended up here in the Muspelheim wastes. Then this woman, a visage in the wavering heat, came towards her and by the ancestors was she quite something. The chains and rainbow gems trimming the bottom of her crop top jingled as she approached the woman. “Valeera. A ruler’s name indeed.” Her tone remains strong and sure. “It seems more and more that our two dimensions are not all that different. Though mine was less fire and brimstone and more eternal celestial light and cool waters. Much like the Terran people’s Carribean but a few thousand degrees hotter.” She smiled, getting lost in the memories of her home. “Though that is quite unimportant now. What comes with the crown that you so wonderfully enjoy.”
