@rcsebush /Ā @alyyvedĀ /Ā @blazess /Ā @perdcr / oh my goodness and these are just the ones i can remember. forgive me my princess but this lobster knight has a terrible memory and thus cannot serve you to the best of its abilities. that being said, unfortunately i have only interacted with summer, so i will talk about summer.
Ā Ā Ā @rcsebush okay so iām sure iāve beaten this horse to death, had it be reincarnated into another horse breed, beaten that horse to death, and so on. i still feel the need to say it: CANON SUMMER. very rarely do i find such a gem among the trash, but i think interacting with this blog was probably one of the best decisions i ever made.
Ā Ā Ā there are many reasons why i think this is the only summer rose worth interacting with in the rwby fandom ( and many more why i think itās a literal crime that anyone should choose another over this one, but alas iām only talking about the blog itself and not about peopleās poor life choices. i donāt have that time. )
Ā Ā Ā for one ( and arguably most importantly ), mun hasĀ VOICE. many writers iāve seen struggle in this aspect: characterization, writing style, considering their audience, and the combination of all three. see, what makes a good style is not just being able to perfectly capture a characterās thoughts / actions / speech / emotions / etc., nor is it just the ability to utilize literary elements or use interesting words within an appropriate context, nor is it just about understanding what the readersā level is and adjusting and adapting and making the writing space accessible for others. itās the combination of all three. and mun does this so well iām still amazed sheās still young. having a voice means that one can accommodate their writing for any kind of muse while at the same time keeping control of their personal style. having a voice means i can recognize their writing even if the muses are radically different. having a voice means they demonstrate an understanding of what it is that makes a good story and consistent characterization while at the same time remaining unique. and lis demonstrates all three.
Ā Ā Ā second, the concept. iām not afraid to say TO HELL WITH ROOSTERTEETH. they could come out day after tomorrow with a fully realized story, personality, and motivations for summer and i couldnāt care less if i tried. iāll say it again! TO HELL WITH ROOSTERTEETH. what i love about this summer is the concept is circular. i canāt find loose ends. i canāt find inconsistencies. i canāt find contradictions. and thatās a sure sign that mun knows exactly what sheās doing. it becomes so obvious that a person is only making things up as they go along when, going back through headcanons / musings / aesthetics / etc., there are radical jumps in characterization or gaps in storyline or loose ends with no reasonable explanation. when a mun doesnāt tie in ideas with other ideas their concept becomes flimsy and i hate that. well youāll find none of that with this summer. the amount of thought given to every idea bleeds into the concept. itās justā¦ so goodā¦ really.
Ā Ā Ā and finally, as if everything else about this blog isnāt enough of a reason to want to interact, the mun is A++. i absolutely adore lis, sheās a gift from God that has graced this earth. i respect her a lot because not only is she only a sweetheart to those that deserve it, but sheās not afraid to stomp the ass of those who think they can pull some rank shit. sheās no nonsense and sheās straightforward, meaning passive aggressive and petty drama is not a thing. one will never have any question as to what sheās thinking because sheās not afraid to speak her mind. sheās always got ideas and once you get her going for headcanons sheāll never stop ( iām not joking about this, sheās an endless fountain of ideas ). sheāll invest in your muse like her life depended on it and youāll always feel listened to and important around her.
