Sydney
The opera house! The back of the opera house (not as exciting tbh).
That random photo of a road is of enormous emotional importance.
Some signage in the pylon tower.
And a couple more Bridge pics, including the photo of our climbing group!

Sydney
I climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge! Great views, very windy.
Sydney
An ode to Sandy the koala and our beautiful connection. We touched noses! And she pulled my hand closer when I was taking a picture of her! đ
Oh and the last two photos are with some other sleepy koala but I donât look like a demon in them so theyâre going on the internet.
Sydney
Kangaroo joeys, wallabies, sleepy koalas, a platypus (theyâre so much smaller than I thought) and the saddest quokka in all the land. I just wanted to meet a smiling quokka but at least this one licked my hand.
And, finally, a super goth crow. That blue eye!
Sydney
Tasmanian devils, wallabies, wombats and baby emus! Oh my!
Sydney
First things first...the non-cuddly creatures!
Donât be fooled by that pretty bird...itâs a cassowary and it WILL kill you.
Sydney
Moving on from Melbourne, I had two days in Sydney. Lots of pics to come, but I had to isolate this video because I could literally watch a wombat walk for hours. I just want to pick it up and squeeze it!!
Melbourne
This was by far my favorite place in town. Another semi-hidden spot. Thereâs no signage outside, you have to go through a door next to a restaurant on the ground level and take an elevator up to the roof.
And then you step out into Madame Brussels. Named for a famous madam in a district that was formerly the hot spot for sex workers, itâs so overwhelmingly pretty and quaint. It reminded me of Aliceâs Teacup.
So many of the descriptions in the menu were a riot. đ
Melbourne
Pizza Pizza Pizza is one of those great little bars hidden down an alley. It looks like a tiny pizza place, but you walk through the ârefrigeratorâ and itâs a super cool bar!
The bathrooms were pretty rad too.
Melbourne
A little more street art. A neon sign on the ceiling of a coffee shop that I want now. The insanely decorative inside of a BANK. And one of the oldest Italian cafes in Melbourne.
Australia
Melbourne
I hated to leave New Zealand. Itâs truly heaven on earth...I loved it so so much. But, alas, my journey had to continue. Next stop was Australia. I started out in Melbourne.
I only had one full day in the city so I did a guided walk of all the alleys and arcades. I love how all of the best restaurants, bars and cafes are hidden off the beaten path.
After the tour I spent the rest of my day wandering around on my own. The street art was amazing there. And I managed to visit two very cool kinda-secret spots.
Hereâs a bit of Melbourne street art.
Queenstown
The end of the LotR tour: the Ford of Bruinen and one last look at the Misty Mountains.
And some token final Queenstown photos. Including a couple from above!
Queenstown - Glenorchy
Just geeking around on a Lord of the Rings tour.
Queenstown - Glenorchy
Another day, another Lord of the Rings tour. This time to Ithilien, the âpo-tay-toesâ camp fire scene, and a little bit of Fangorn Forest.
Plus my dream house. đ
Queenstown - Milford Sound
Even more of beautiful Milford Sound...
This time featuring some lazy seals!
Queenstown - Milford Sound
Surprise, surprise...Milford Sound is so beautiful. Surrounded by snow capped mountains, waterfalls, lush green hills and an incredible view out into the Tasman Sea.
Queenstown - Milford Sound
A little more from the drive out to Milford Sound and a few photos from the start of the boat ride through the sound. So many waterfalls and rainbows!
