Was in a begging state

My brother was jobless since 3-4 months and he was in such a situation that he was in a begging state

Not sure will complete task on hand

I have to execute a task. I have not started it yet. Then the doubt creeps in whether I can complete it or not.
In addition, I get the thought whether I have committed to the task unnecessarily or not, enters my mind.
