You know what I want? A book about bookmarks. A collection of images showing a range of people’s bookmarks... how they got the one they use, how long they’ve had it, if they just use scraps of paper on hand or if they have a beloved bookmark they can’t bear to let go of no matter how battered it is. Is it just me that finds it interesting to see what other people use to mark their page? Whether they prefer to fold the corner of the page or if they have a huge collection of bookmarks stored up.
I’ve had my bookmark for almost 7 years I think... a battered, endlessly folded and wrinkled piece of paper with an image of Buzz Aldrin on the moon taken by Neil Armstrong. It has long outlived its life I’m sure, but I absolutely love it and can’t imagine using anything else to bookmark what I’m reading. I just wanna know the stories behind people’s bookmarks.
