Ladies in Hating

This book was delightfully written and engaging.

This book was wonderful to read. It was a light and refreshing story, with plenty of romance (including some spice!), and enough intrigue to keep the pages turning. Cat and Georgie make for wonderful protagonists and heroines. I'm excited to read more by Vasti!

The women in this story bring a fire that starts small and becomes an inferno.

The women in this story bring a fire that starts small and becomes an inferno. Natasha Siegel gives us loneliness and pain in a palpable manner. Cybil's yearning for the love of her parents, the urge to be free from the yoke of the burdens they put on her. Esther's wishes to be able to show the love she deeply feels without fear. Rosamund's desire to bring an end to a pantomime stretching centuries.

In the center of it all, Miriam Richter. A woman brought to being through arrogance and pain. The eye of the hurricane that batters and breaks what it touches.

These four threads weave a rich tapestry that is captivating and haunting. One that definitely has me wanting to start the story over again, and again.

These words seem to haunt the pages of this book far better than any ghost. An imaginative retelling of a classic, brought to creeping, wicked life with beautiful prose. An isolated Eden, love, plants, poison and betrayal. This book has it all and more.

I wish I could read this for the first time again. It was a beautiful and stunning book.

Volume two in a series that swept me away. Evil is back, and Evie is ready to learn from it.

This volume captivated me as much as the first did, the characters have a depth that can be surprising. You find yourself cheering for The Villain and his cohorts, only to quickly find yourself choked up from the emotions they portray. I can't wait for the final volume.

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil was my first book of the month book. They had me sold on Sapphic vampires. I'm not sure what I expected, but this book definitely defied any I had.
