Day 4/78 – The Empress

You cannot bully a flower into blooming. You can water it, give it sunlight, tend the soil. But no amount of impatience will convince spring to arrive early.

That is the Empress.

The card is often mistaken for a symbol of motherhood alone (while, it is a strong pregnancy card), but her domain is much larger than that. She governs every act of creation from an artwork, a relationship, a home, a business, even the new version of yourself that you’re slowly blossoming into.

The Empress teaches that growth responds to nourishment, and comes with the message of getting in touch with our nurturing side.

When she appears in a reading, ask yourself where you have been trying to create results instead of creating the conditions for them. She reminds you that to expect love, you must also stop withholding tenderness.

Don’t expect instant abundance, instead focus your energy in getting in touch with the side of you that can create it.

Embrace the softer side of you and welcome listen to your intuition.

Day 3/78 – The Hight Priestess

Ah, this card has always been one my favourites in the sense that it invites you to seek within for answers. In a nutshell, this card is a reminder that not every answer will arrive as a dramatic revelation.

Some arrive as a quiet feeling you get that you can’t explain— you know, the one answer that you just know it in your bones.

The High Priestess is the keeper of what lives beneath the surface. It asks from you to trust your intuition, and let that lead you with the knowledge you already possess.

In my personal experience, this card has always appeared in readings where I was drowning out my own energy in exchange of superficial facts. She rarely asks you to seek more information, but trust the wisdom you already possess.

Day 2/78 — The Magician

The Magician is an action card. Take action; build the life you always envisioned; you have all the tools to manifest your reality.

The Magician doesn’t wait for the perfect timing, she looks at what is already within reach and asks, what can I create with this?

This is the card of intention becoming action. In the Rider-Waite deck, the table in front of the magician is filled with tools representing each suit. It’s a reminder that we are closer to the outcome than we think.

When this card appears, it asks you to stop underestimating yourself. You know more than you believe. You have more than you realize. The question is whether you’re willing to use it.

Manifestation is often mistaken for wishing. The Magician reminds us it’s a collaboration between vision and effort. The spark matters, but so does striking the match.

Day 1/78– The Fool

Welcome to 78 days tarot with @readingtheveil where I offer my own thoughts and reflection on the cards which I discovered with my own journey with tarot.

This is more than just keywords and meanings— here, I dive deeper into the meaning behind the symbolism and the unveil the mystic surrounding the card to find its true character.

The first card in the deck — The Fool

The fool is not foolish, not by any measure. She’s young, and at the cusp of a new beginning with little experience but much gusto to take the leap of faith. The card invites you to action by moving ahead even when you are unsure of the outcome and skills required to reach it. It’s card that tells you to stop doubting yourself and jump believing that the universe will catch you.

People often mistake this card for naivety but I think it’s closer to faith. Faith to trust your own feet more than the map in your hands. Not because nothing can go wrong, but because remaining exactly where you are is also a choice.

In my own experience, this card had arrived in my readings when I am waiting to feel qualified, prepared or fearless. The answer is always the same: start anyway.
