TCM321: Last Entry

Would you be considering on pursuing a start-up venture? Would you continue the product you’ve come up with? Why or Why not?

Innovation makes the world progress. Our society relies on them so if I would be pursuing a start-up venture in the near future, why not. It’s essential to be open for new ideas because the world is evolving so are you and your creativity.

Honestly speaking, I like our idea about the Proper Segregation but I would like to make it less hassle to the user as to not spend their time throwing their trash but overall, I would loved to continue the idea that we’ve come up with because it will teach us to be responsible about the waste that we’re putting outside our homes. Now is time to not just neglect this kind of problem in our society because this is time that we really need to be extra clean in our surroundings and with that we need to be disciplined.

Having this subject in this time of pandemic is practical in a sense that it is teaching us to create something valuable, something that could make our lives easier and worthwhile. This teaches us to widen our horizon as to what truly matter in this world and how can we navigate this perception into reality.

TCM321: Week 15 - Insights on the Preparation for the Final Pitch

Final pitching is somehow nerve-wrecking and exciting at the same time because we will see how did our idea turned out.

We did some prototype to see how feasible it is to use and easy to navigate once it is available for downloads.

We prepared our presentation together with the prototype and we test it ourselves to see if it runnable by just a click of a finger and did some quick and last interview to show to people how it looks like when it is implemented by establishments. But, still we are going to make some changes and develop this in the future if this is adapted by our local government.

TCM321: Week 14 - Updates and Realizations on your Startup Ventures

For this week, we honesty did numerous debate about how we will going to make it user-friendly for users to utilize it anywhere anytime. Because I personally believe that throwing your trash doesn’t require the entire hour of your life. So we made it simple and easy to use, easy to understand and easy to navigate.

Having these idea made me realized that we can actually help and make a difference to a garbage collector’s job by just segregating our trash respectively because if my memory serves me well, the implementation of the segregation

upon collection of garbage has been effective last year and that means that you have to segregate your waste as what type of waste it is otherwise it will not be collected.

So, we narrow down our ideas to simplest term so we can have a clearer vision of this venture.

TCM321: Week 13 - Insights on People’s Opinion regarding your Startup Idea

Getting people’s opinion about our idea was fun and plays a big impact about our venture.

Our participants are from the mall and from some establishments here in our city. Some responded positively and some are a little bit unsure. I’ve discovered upon listening to them that there are people who doesn’t mind throwing their garbage, they even responded that it will be thrown away anyway so we care. Honestly, it frustrates me but there are positive feedbacks that we also gather.

People who cares about our environment responded positively and even suggested that we should make it available for the households. Through this evaluation from the masses the we interview we can now reevaluate our idea and finalize everything.

TCM321: Week 7 - Lesson Learned in Technopreneurship

For the last months, I learned so much about how Innovation could make such an impact in our lives. Webinar discussions was a good way to discuss different topics from our different guests every week and learned so much from them and here are my learned lessons upon listening and attending those Webinars.

First, I learned that start-ups are not just simply an idea but it's a means if change, of something new. Start-up process and how it is built was being emphasize and it has been discussed thoroughly.

Second, I discovered things about choosing the right members for your team. It has to be people who has characteristics of a good innovator. It has to be passionate and a result-driven person.

Third has to do with rights. Your ideas or any prototype that you claimed to be yours has to be protected from being copied by others. In our country, we have rules to protect these rights.

Lastly, I learned that being an innovator has a great responsibility in putting up the right product for the masses. It has to be utilized by many and can at least alleviate the state of living of our countrymen.

TCM321: Week 6 - Realization about BMC

Dissecting our ideas for our start-up has never been easy but with the help of BMC we're slowly getting the right pattern on how to formulate our ideas in a comprehensible way. Realizations were being implied upon crafting it. Our ideas were too vague and I'm afraid we cannot put it in a clearer way so others could understand but I hope and pray that it will be more comprehensible as time goes by.

With our group, we are challenged as to what revenue we could use to gather profits and made it more available for other establishments or sectors to utilize what we have in our minds.

TCM321: Week 5 - Intellectual Property Right

The webinar’s topic for this week is about Intellectual Property Right. I learned that Intellectual property rights provide protection for creators for his or her original works, inventions, or the appearance of products, artistic works, scientific developments, and so on. It was comforting to know that we have these kind of things to protect us or our future ventures in this platform.

Listening to the webinar inspired me to research about what “copyright” can do with this topic and according to https://www.inquartik.com/ , “copyright does not protect ideas. Rather, it only covers “tangible” forms of creations and original work–for example, art, music, architectural drawings, or even software codes. “ So, i just learned different things for these week to help me visualize our possile venture in the future.

WEEK 4: Team Formation

This week's discussion was about Team Formation presented by Ms. Rhea Suzette Haguisan the CDO B.I.T.E.S Project Leader. It was basically a guide on choosing the best and right people for your start-up. Her presentation was captivating because it was relate to the a KDrama called Start-Up.

The discussion was comprehensive enough that I learned that the best people consist of the ones that you are fond to be with and discuss things that can improve fly your ideas bringing it to life.

TCM321: Week 3 - Tech 101: How to Talk to Users

On February 15, 2021, Sir Bronson Mabulay discussed about how to select people to be a member of a project and how to talk to users. It was brief and concise that made us re-evaluate our team members and how to follow step by step process. Communication was mentioned, it was more than essential to communicate effectively to meet your objectives as a group and to deliver your end goal.

There was a video shown and it talks about how we talk often rather than listening and understanding. As a group, we assessed ourselves to know what is the right ways to talk to people and how to strengthen our start-ups.

TCM321: Week 3 - PRESENTATION OF IDEAS: A Reflection

Friday at 11am, as a group we present our ideas to hopefully lessen or alleviate one of the many issue in our community.

It was not denied or dismissed by Sir Lao but he presented some technicalities as to its efficiency or effectivity because it will touch about sensors and anything that involves sense being inflected into devices.

Sir Lao also suggested that we should look for the right people to consult about our said ideas and look for better ways to test its effectivity.

We had a lot of lapses as to the presenting it or even how we formulate it but we will study further to make better judgements and innovate things that can help our community in terms of disposing our waste.

TCM321: WEEK 1 - BRAINSTORMING AS A GROUP

For this week, we brainstorm as a group for our idea on some of the prevalent issues recurring in our community.

We listed lots of problems that surrounds us but it's vague to list all of them and find solution to each one of them when we can't figured out exactly how those problems exist in the very first place. Well, maybe because of the human activity.

One of the human activities that's making unsanitary conditions is the Improper Disposal of Waste. I personally interview some of my colleagues in USTP and they observed this bugbear that people unconsciously throwing their waste into the wrong garbage cans.

We want to present an idea to alleviate or at least lessen this problem. A device or an app that can detect and notify improper waste management. Take for example, if Jenny throw her plastic cup to the garbage can labeled "papers" she will be notified to transfer her waste to the proper garbage can and in this way people will consciously minding their way of throwing waste into the respective garbage cans.

This will be a reminder for everyone that each type of garbage has its place into the cans and we firmly believe that this will be great help not just for our school but also in the community as we plan to implement in to the community in the long run if this will be approved by the authorities. With this, we are somehow responsible in our own actions as to what waste we are disposing and this will make the collection of garbages easy.

Self-Assessment

We are living in the fast-paced environment as of the moment. With all the new advancement offered by the technology we can really say that we are now occupied with the things that are not really necessary and not that much important and, that we need to look out for the bigger picture and assess what we need to do in order for us to progress for ourselves and for the betterment of our country.

For this week's assignment we are asked by our dear Instructor to take the Berkeley Innovation Index Test to know and assess ourselves when it comes to building something new of out Innovation in this modern day.

According to the Individual Innovation Mindset Report my Personal Innovation Mindset Level is currently 66.67 out of 100. This results suggest analysis and recommendation. My Trust Level is about 56 out of 100. I would agree to this because I'm having a hard time trusting people in doing certain projects especially with the people I don't personally know.

My Resilience and Diversity were 80 of 100. My resiliency was tested over time, so I became flexible to changes and survived through trying times. I love learning culture from different walks of life so maybe my Diversity Level result was that high. This test is showing my personal traits and their corresponding levels and also provide recommendations how to develop and understand it.

My belief, Comfort zone, Perfection, Innovation zone Collaboration areas were suggesting that I am for people who has similar personality traits with me and having difficulties to become purposeful. I consider this results as a guide for my personality in general and for me to become better and productive, I will continue to assess myself in these aspects.

For 21 years living in this precarious world. Realizing tons of things made me learn to accept that changes is just as normal as making mistakes. What I've realized is that, getting hurt and suffering is inevitable because every human is different and not everyone has the same heart as you. They don't think as you do, they don't love, care or give as you do. So embrace the lesson that you learn and give the world another chance to be good to you. I am well aware that this is easier said than done because how do you give tje world another chance when it has shown you in every possible possible way that you shouldn't? But you know, every experience is very different and every pain is ultimately different. Give kindness another chance, it will always come back to you. Maybe not straight away but soon and in the way that you hope to receive it. It will come to you as He has willed for it to. Give love another chance. For you and for your growth. Give this world a another chance and don't be so full of hatred because people uave been unkind to you. You are unique and sometimes, it only takes one person to make a difference.

That is what I realized. I realized that I needed to be more passionate about the world I live in. The world I'm in.

Speck of dust . . .

You are not as important as how you thought you are to people. You are merely a small stage for the ones you see as a vast cosmic arena. You breathe into their existences as the tiniest mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam, and the illusion that you are entitled to any position in their lives or in the entire universe is actually translated by a certain point of light. The truth is you have to accept and understand that not everyone will radiate the same amount of energy you are discharging. Hence, give yourself a space for individual growth. Go back to the very same spatial axis you last saw yourself walking on and explore the places that you never thought can be found within you. Discover new coordinates that will direct you to your inner peace, considering that your world does not revolve around others, and gravitate to a particular place that feels like home. You are not just a speck of dust in the great enveloping cosmic dark. Always remember that .

Please stop seeking validation from people who never care for you. You deserve better than people who constantly put you down. You deserve better than unread messages and missed phone calls. You deserve better than canceled plans and forced conversations. You deserve someone who recognizes your worth and loves you for who you are. You deserve someone who can treat you right. You deserve to be someone’s first choice. And most importantly, you deserve real happiness and utmost care. Reserve your heart for someone that cares about relationship like you do. Never settle for anything less. Never put your heart at stake.

Superficial beauty.

Research finds that reading beauty magazines affects woman’s self esteem and boy image negatively. But no one reads beauty magazines anymore, but how much time do you use Instagram, Facebook or Twitter?

Social Media is a beauty magazine on a digital tabloid. Because it is no longer unattainable beauty standards, stated by a super model, it’s the girl next door, in your class or in your workplace. Normal girls like you and me, but somehow, they seem to live life much better than you, while looking better too. But the illusion created by good lighting, angles and facetune is an just a mere illusion. Maybe, there just like a team on a Vogue photo shoot. It’s a full-time job for someone, their main income or the only thing they feel valued for.

The next time you feel less because you don’t look like those girls, keep in the back of your mind that most likely they don’t either. But you are still beautiful in your own little ways, accomplished and living a wonderful life. It’s not easy to capture a beautiful life on a photo, as it to capture pretty and good angle of your face, but one gives you value and the other takes from you.

As they say, desire is the kind of thing that eats you up and leaves you starving or even exhausted and you deserve more than anything to be full.

unearthly emotions

Some people are naturally preoccupied with things that has no emotions. I couldn’t agree more. We fantasized things that are, sometimes, out of reach. Stars and the wide sky that holds the moon and the sun. The hue of nature as well. The different weather it brings that defines our emotion being. The ocean that is as deep as your emotions or maybe closer to the depth of your soul.

In my own perspective, we are full of different emotions for the things that has no meaning at all because we couldn’t offer them to people who are not passionate enough to accept what we can offer or feel towards them. Maybe you love the moon so much because you remember someone who is no longer present in your life or maybe you just love the existence of it, just like me. Or maybe you are just the person who has so much emotions that are self-inflicted and you chose to pour it by admiring the night because it’s dark and full of emotions clinging to it, just like our eyes. I may not know exactly but thing is for sure, we are pouring our emotions through things when we have so much of it that we cannot hold it any longer that even writing them, painting them or expressing them in any other way can’t bring our soul to peace.
