Familiar Taste of Memories {Harper Siblings}
He knew she was okay, not that sort of missing when it was something bad. She took off to do her own thing and, he may have not liked it but he knew she had to do, what she had to do. He had times he wanted to run away to just leave everything. Times got hard for him but he never could do it. He loved his work, his fans and him leaving would upset them and he didn’t want that. But Regan did her thing for a few years and it was okay. He did took leaving their home state as soon as he could and never really looked back. He wasn’t cut out for the beaches and sunshine, he was made for the busy bright city. But seeing her again, made him smile and feel really good again.
It felt like longer to him since he last saw her. That he wasn’t a teenager anymore, he wasn’t some kid headed off to college. She wasn’t his little sister that was still the wild one in school. He almost hugged her to long and hard, but he had to do it he missed her. “But it makes me wonder” really he had worry in him on how she got inside and into his dressing room. “I really hope so I did miss you….and this place is amazing” he said meaning the city, but his dressing room was great too. “I’ve spent a day or two in here…it’s not that bad” he chuckled “It is…” he said seeing the old Bonnie and Clyde poster and a Newies one too. “I always told you…and everyone and they laughed but” he went over to a photo he had and picked it up of his Tony win this year. “I got my second one a few months ago” he smiled he was proud he did it. “but who cares about me, how are you? are you okay?” why… just… I really missed you”
Running away wasn’t planned. Reagan didn’t stop at age eighteen (or any of other age for that matter) and came up with the idea that she wanted to be a runaway, that she wanted to start her life again, brand new, no stopping her. She doesn’t really believe that anyone actually plans ahead to that, at least not much ahead of it. It is something desperate and spontaneous, in more ways than one. Ways she can’t really put to words, but she knows it inside her heart, and she knows too that it was the best for her. That it was what she had to do. Still, seeing Myles and thinking about the years she’d lived without knowing much about him, without being in his life with him... It all made her a little nostalgic for a past she never had.
“It’s not a big deal how I got in here, I just walked through the back door, that’s all,” she shrugged as she told him simply how she’d gotten in there. It definitely hadn’t been that hard, and that honestly made Rey worry a little about her brother’s safety in that place. Maybe he didn’t have any crazy ass fans, but maybe he did, and maybe they could find a way to get inside there. “It is quite amazing, this place, yeah. And it’s kinda weird that you had to sleep here one or twice, although great that it isn’t too horrible to do that.” She paced around, looking at the walls and all the posters, and then at the posters Myles was showing her. She smiled as she listened to him. “I’ve always known you could do it, Myles. You always did anything you set your heart and mind to. If there’s one thing were great at, that thing was getting what you wanted.” She turned to him and smiled gently. “I know you did. I heard about it on the internet, I... I was very happy for you,” Reagan told him honestly. “Oh, me? I’m okay. I guess I’ve never been better, actually. But I’ve missed you, too, big brother.” She playfully punched his arm with a half-happy, half-sad smile. The moment brought her as many bad memories as good ones, too, but she was really glad to be seeing Myles again.
