So. I normally immediately disconnect to people who think they are going to get up on me with that noncon shit but I continued to fuck with this particular roleplayer to see how far they were going to force noncon despite multiple forms of protest. Luckily they disconnected before they did anything worse. I am posting this to make a point and state something. Look. I do not care what you are looking to rp, we all have our kinks and I am not going to judge regardless of how bad that kink might come off because that is not my place in this world (I have weird kinks too) . However! I will judge when you try to continue to force your kink despite your roleplay partner giving signs of protest. Some people on parp wait forever to connect with someone so they might give you multiple chances to stop doing things that upset them by conveying that through the roleplay itself. In my instance with Vriska every single thing she said was about how fucked up Equius was for trying to rape her. That should be a BIG red light to the person roleplaying as Equius that maybe I am not enjoying the roleplay and that I am not comfortable with rape. What you should do is if you are trying to play out a kink or noncon and your roleplay partner makes remarks about how they don’t like it while in character just stop for a few seconds and confirm in OOC if that is okay with them. You don’t know that trying to do a noncon roleplay might really upset someone. You could be roleplaying with a victim of sexual assault and trying to continue with noncon attempts in a rp might fuck them up and bring up trauma memories. If from the start of the rp you know you want to take it to a place of noncon immediately say something before doing so. Always consent with your role play partner. This is the polite thing to do. Being cautious and polite with these sensitive topics will make roleplay enjoyable for everyone. You don’t want to cause someone to spiral into a ptsd/ depressive episode by trying to role play something that makes them uncomfortable without checking. On a personal level I’ve had experiences of my past trauma brought back up in a roleplay despite me saying no and it fucked me up for weeks.
