finally switched to linux
on one hand everything is awesome and functions way better
but i probably shouldn't have gone with an atomic distro as my first daily driver (installing anything not on flathub or homebrew is hell)

i was then struck with can't do shit syndrome for the entire rest of the day
yet another public question because i love asking those
but i've been sincerely thinking about moving to linux even if i'm kind of in a grey "will be alright for the time being" area of windows 11 users due to EU standards and stuff
so i've been looking at different distros (i have some prior experience with mint (both normal and LMDE) as a desktop and debian (no GUI) as a server), and have come to the conclusion that i'd probably be best off with fedora
but i'm not sure. i want something that's hard to brick by accident (like debian) but also reasonably customisable and not too clunky. no desktop enviroment prefrences but preferably thorough GUI support for updates and everything. also NVIDIA GPU.
IT student, decent patience, not a total newbie
any recommendations? or do i go with fedora and tinker from there
i'm not going with arch. at least not raw. too much freedom and room to mess up, and i don't have the time for that.

Call me whatever names you wish, but I think this is a much better (and healthier) attitude than “anyone under 18 should never be allowed to see any sexual imagery ever”
(For reference: this was at the Tom of Finland exhibition, containing actual, queer, kinky af pornography. There were definitely some young people there, perhaps in their late teens. There was even a parent with their baby who was probably too young to understand anything at all. And guess what, all those people are probably going to be fine.)
