Oat milk was discovered much more recently than you may have known. Like many now-familiar technologies, it was found by accident during the Apollo program when NASA learned what a zero-g environment does to goat milk.
guess who's back with more textpost edits!!!! i am!!!!!!!
< previous
at a big long business table, many people with suits sitting around, big question on the whiteboard that reads "WHAT DO LOOP'S SPIKES FEEL LIKE?" multiple post it notes are on the whiteboard, such as "soft?" "spiky?" "They're not spikes, they're just light" Several people all quiet The tension is palpable I raise my hand "what if it's like a week old buzzcut? Like. Fluffy but also spiky?" Everyone looks at me and after a bit the person at the whiteboard scratches their chin and writes a sticky note and adds it to the whiteboard next to "Hedged Hog (but not like sonic, maybe like amy?" and "knuckles the red echidna"
As if Joanne couldn't get any shittier, she misgendered and insulted a woman who called for support, all because the woman had PCOS/PMOS and "didn't sound feminine enough."
Fuck her.
Your shitty children's series isn't more important than people's lives.
god iâd fucking kill to be touched properly. i need someone to need me so bad they canât hold themselves back. i need to be grabbed in a way that doesnât let me doubt that you want me. throw me around. bruise me. make me feel desired for something other than what i can provide for you. fuck.
it is very inch resting to me the way people interpret this post. seeing the clear dichotomy between the people who read it as a totally normal horny post and the people who Get It
like. itâs an odd feeling to make a vent post about how people either treat trans women like fragile little things that theyâre scared to touch, or, more regularly, as walking dick dispensers, and have the median reaction be âooooooo hot !â but then again this is the piss on the poor website so shame on me i guess
I hate you Ozempic craze I hate you 'heroin chic' I hate you weight loss ads on public radio I hate Burn Fat Fast ads every thirty seconds I hate you I hate you I hate you
I grew up before the term 'thigh gap' was invented I grew up before 'hip dip' was invented I was born before 'muffin top' was a thing before 'clean girl look' was a thing before 'glass skin' was a thing before razoring off peach fuzz was a thing and I'm so so so fucking tired of us inventing new concepts purely for the purpose of convincing people to hate their own bodies enough to buy products
Last time Tuberculosis ran through the USA a small number of people got it on purpose to look skinny and waifish and delicate and used makeup to look flushed and bony and when the Victorians figured out tapeworms people would infect themselves on purpose to starve themselves smaller and women and now in the year of our lord 2026 there is a noticeable fraction of the USAmerican population genuinely thrilled about a treatment-resistant microbial parasite that makes you shit and vomit your brains out for a month because side effects include weight loss and STILL we talk about being skinny like it's the natural default setting for all healthy people as if it's a self-sustaining standard and not an imaginary goal that we are constantly constantly constantly beating ourselves with a whip to acheive
went to cracker barrel with my girlfriend this morning to get breakfast, and they absolutely clocked us as lesbians, cuz they assigned the most lesbian server in the house to our table. the whole time, she was calling the both of us "babe" and "love", when we ordered the biscuits she asked if we liked corn muffins too and said she'd bring us some, and after we got the check and were about to leave she looked me dead in the eye and said "you're real pretty," stunlocked me for like five seconds before i could respond. when we finally got to the car after paying, we checked the receipt and she hadnt charged us for the corn muffins OR FOR THE BISCUITS!!!
cracker barrel was the last place either of us were expecting to get lesbian flirted with, were getting so many gay encounters these past two days
this is why they invented polyamory
before I was diagnosed with âgender dysphoriaâ and âtranssexualismâ I got a hysterectomy. this was not easyâ medical misogyny exists and I had to assert repeatedly that i didnât want children and I was married with a spouse who didnât want children and that I had tried a âless invasiveâ solution first. all this sucked. it was paternalistic and condescending and led to me suffering for years for zero reason.
however. if I hadnât gotten the hysterectomy back then and was trying to get one now, it would be harder. after becoming recognized as trans in medial systems, legally I would need two separate psychiatric professionals to write letters affirming Iâd been under their observation, that I was mentally stable enough to know I wanted the surgery, and that they also believed it was necessary. and I would need to find a surgeon willing to operate on trans people.
like this is the difference. the literal procedures involved in medical transition are not exclusive to trans people. the difference is that these procedures are gatekept from us.
thatâs why all the laws banning trans healthcare (in the US, I havenât read legislation elsewhere) are framing it as only banned when someone has a âgender dysphoriaâ diagnosis. the point isnât to stop performing the actual procedures, the point is to deny trans people healthcare because we are trans.
saying âtrans people donât need surgeryâ is like saying âcis people donât need surgery.â like obviously not every cis person needs every surgery. but cis people have the right to surgery. and trans people deserve the same right.
I still think pregnancy and childbirth should be degendered. we stopped talking about that and I need us to pick it back up pls
look, i work at a morgue, i get to see every day how withered and small bodies can get when someone was sick. itâs awful. do you know how bone-thin a leg can get. or how a stomach really looks beneath the ribs when itâs wasted away. the way peopleâs eyes and cheeks press in to their skull like theyâre clinging on for dear life. they died like that, and you want to try and sell me a lie, a pill, a miracle cure thatâll make me live in that state? thatâll make my friends look like that, my family, the people i love? to see corpses in them?
this job makes me appreciate all the more bodies lived in and well-loved. please eat that second serving. please give yourself treats as much as you want. life is not long enough to suffer through it. youâll be plenty skinny when youâre dead.
i do think we need to detach hygiene from value as a person. as someone who has dealt with not being able to shower or brush my teeth due to depression and executive dysfunction, it usually is not a choice. sometimes there are situations in which you CANNOT care for yourself properly and that shouldnât mean you can now be stripped of your worth. physically disabled people who have trouble with hygiene i love you, mentally ill people who have trouble with hygiene i love you, neurodivergent people who struggle with hygiene i love you, people without access to adequate hygiene products i love you. itâs going to be ok
so in other news they very much still make me insane
i do not understand people who say "dont date your friends." who are you supposed to date then? do you just find someone and try to date them?? and you dont even know them???? alloromantics are perplexing man wtf is this
Everyone's Friend
