Demons and Angels are not a myth. They roam among us, hidden, blended. But for how long will they remain such? How long until their population grows. How long before the powerful, hunt the powerless.
Join the realms of demons and angels, and find out for yourself.
I knew the group would die, I've had experience of such from when I modded OC groups and even canon groups with my Twinnie. It seems like unless I'm on, there isn't any activity. And sure, I have a bunch of characters in the group, but others do as well, I shouldn't need to be around so that everyone interacts...
idk, as of now I don't know if this group will stay open, I'll wait and see if activity increases.
Sunday, the moon moves in a way that turns red for the whole day. Utanthia, being night always, shows the moon all day. This also happens to be an anniversary of the peace between Aniova and Utanthia. The demons however celebrate it as a day where their power grows stronger. The laws may be disobeyed for this one day only as a celebration. Do with that what you will~

Name: Uvall
Gender: Male
Demon or Angel: Demon
Species: Energy Eater(Demon who needs to steal energy from others to survive.)
Birthdate: Unknown
Age: About 7,800
Height: 6'
Hair Color: Silver
Eye Color: Green
Rank: 1st Elder
Faceclaim: Fenris from Dragon Age 2
Ability:
Chrono Foresight - Uvall can see visions of past, present, and future. He can see along multiple timelines. He is able to see things such as, what a person would have been named if they were born a different gender. Or what might happen to you in the future depending on what choices you make.
Energy Manipulation - He can create things out of energy, such as balls of it to harm other people, or a prison to capture enemies in. Or even things such as a key to unlock things, or a sword.
Enhanced Magic - The markings burned into his skin were made by energy. When using his powers the markings on him glow, making him not only stronger, but give him the use of various elements.
Energy Teleportation - See the Utanthia page.
Personality: Uvall is wise and calculating, at first he may come off as cold, harsh, and judgmental, but this is only due to his age. Though he has a temper, he is also very kind. Underneath his cold gaze is someone who wishes to find someone to spend the rest of his years with. Uvall knows he can't give out details of his future visions. Doing so could cause ripples, and make the outcome of the future a disaster. So instead of saying he won't tell you, he taps the tip of his nose and smirks, as if saying 'it's my little secret.'
Background: Uvall was born a very long time ago, back when Utanthia was first founded. Utanthia is actually not the only demonic realm out there. There are several others as well. His family was among the more respected demons of Utanthia, they lived close to the castle. Each king the Kingdom had enjoyed using Uvall for his foresight. However, the young demon never revealed too much which angered the kings. They kept him around anyway, in hopes he would change his mind.
Uvall also had a younger brother. Niull. Niull didn't have powers like Uvall did, but he did share his brothers need to steal energy. Unlike the prophet who only took what he need. His brother loved to take ever last bit from his victims. He also preferred the energy of innocence.
Uvall spent most of his life protecting Niull from being judged. And when the king came to him offering a spot as an Elder to keep the prophet close. He continued to protect his brother, breaking the laws he was suppose to enforce. Niull and he were the last of his family now, and had grown... quite close. Closer then brothers should. Uvall didn't want to see his brother sent to limbo.
However, Niull was caught many decades later, and though it killed Uvall inside to do it, he was the one who had to send his brother to limbo, unless he wished to go as well. Uvall's cold behavior worsened after that, and he blamed himself for not saving his brother, or better protecting him from being caught. He lost not only his last remaining family, but his lover as well. Uvall had not yet received the markings on his body which made him weaker back then. If only he had them, he could have better protected his brother.
Uvall took a hiatus from his job. He needed to get away for a while, think things over. He found a group of Native Americans who were familiar with all things demonic. They believed in the afterlife more then any other humans the Elder had met. He grew fond of their company and spent many years with them, training and becoming stronger.
That is where he learned of the ritual in which gave him his markings. Demons with powers that involve energy can always feel that energy flowing through them. Most can only make it come out of their hands. The ritual was to burn etching in the skin with energy magic to make it easier for an energy user to use his powers more freely and more powerful. The natives thought him insane for wanting the markings all over his body, but did so anyway.
It was a painful experience, but Uvall says the pain was not as bad as having to kill his own brother. He went back to his job as if nothing had happened. The king was surprised to see the Elder with the markings, but also intrigued by the increase in his power.
He sent the elder out onto a great mission. An army of mutts were working for an evil man, threatening to attack the castle. The king sent him to do away with these creatures, but underestimated how hard the battle would be. Uvall spent 200 years locked in battle. Fighting each and every one on his own. He has finally succeeded, and is to return.

Name: Tacita.
Gender: Female.
Demon or Angel: Angel.
Species: Uni, Tracker.
Birthdate: February 10th.
Age: 207 years.
Height: 5’8”.
Hair Color: Dark brown.
Eye Color: Silver.
Rank: Kings Knight, First Lieutenant.
Faceclaim: Kasuka Heiwajima from Durarara!!
Ability:
Reverse Telepathy - Instead of being able to read people’s mind, she is able to send her thoughts. This is her way of communicating. When around humans, she simply moves her mouth along with the words she sends or does not communicate at all.
Blinding Light - A light comes from the palms of her hands that is bright enough to burn a mortals eyes out of their skull. With supernatural beings it will normally only stun or blind them temporarily.
Enhanced Senses - As a tracker, she has trained her senses to be more keen and advanced.
Personality: Because she cannot speak and it does require a little bit of energy to communicate with her mind, she tends to be rather quiet and distant around people. She also has a hard time getting close to people because she lost her partner, so if she ever feels a connection with someone she may act annoyed or violent to push them away.
Background: Tacita was born mute. That is what fate made her, so that is also what fate named her. ‘Tacita’ is carved in the back of her neck, branding her. As she got older she started to realize that she was unable to speak with the angels around her, so she found a new way to communicate. With enough training and practice, she was able to speak to people using her mind.
Later on in life she went to the academy and was assigned to a partner, a rowdy young boy who talked way too much. His name was Lelio, and they were assigned to each other as partners. Lelio was a caring, compassionate partner who made Tacita feel like she did not need to have a voice in order to function properly in society. As expected by many of the other angels, the two fell in love. Two complete opposites.
A century passed by, and the two were happy soldiers fighting for the angels. Tacita had no complaints, it was almost too good to be true. Suddenly, without warning, Lelio left heaven. It was not because he had fallen, nor because he had died. He simply left. Life as a soldier grew boring for him, so he quit. Without a partner, Tacita was forced to quit as well. She was useless without him.
Because Tacita had enjoyed her life as a soldier, it was hard to adjust back into civilian life. She had no one to go to, seeing as her whole life had revolved around training and perfecting combat with Lelio. She tried living a casual life, but it never sat well. She needed to get back, and she did that the only way she knew how. She joined the royal guard. It took her half of a century to crawl her way up to lieutenant. She did it though, and now she is content with her lifestyle once more.
She still recalls the happier times that she had with Lelio often, however she refuses to let the loss of him ruin her life. There is always that glimmer of hope that maybe she will see him again one day and be able to confront him about leaving without a goodbye, but she also knows that those chances are slim.
Name: Vera Zharkov
Gender: female
Hunter Type: supernatural
Birthdate: January 25
Age: 25
Height: 168 cm
Hair Color: white
Eye Color: light blue
Location: Moscow, Russia
Faceclaim: Koko Hekmatyar - Jormungand ; Nastya Zhidkova - IRL
Weapon: taser (for self-defense)
Personality:
Vera is, first and foremost, a businesswoman. She shows the tenacity of one, the level-headedness, the eagerness to take responsibility and show results. She does it all with a deceiving grin, hiding her true intentions behind a mask of unnerving serenity. The lady has a good head on her shoulders, and looks like she could decapitate yours with just a look.
Outside of business, Vera is very much a child. She likes to joke, throws tantrums, and pull harmless pranks to amuse herself. She is also much darker than she appears, though not necessarily in an evil way. Her schemes are not always clear, and her goals very murky. She likes to be a mystery as she plays the part of a saint.
Background:
Vera is a child born to very unique circumstances. She is the daughter of a Russian mafia head and has the condition of albinism, making her quite a rarity not just in position, but in appearance as well. Her life therefore has been a constant mix of danger and safety. Several assassination attempts and the conditions of her body gave her a very sheltered childhood. As she matured, matters changed.
The girl sought the world outside and the realms beyond. Her ambitions brought her wealth, status, and great knowledge both of this world and the next. Rumors and first-hand accounts told of an angel and demon homeland, and from those tales Vera shaped her life.
Vera’s motives are a complicated jumble. She holds justice as her one guiding truth, but that justice is defined by her own rules. She supplies weapons and information to hunters of the paranormal, and offers the same to the paranormal themselves. It’s all a matter of who hurt whom first, who stands the highest on unfair ground, and who’s willing to pay the most.
Her one clear goal is to become an angel once God strikes her down. In order to do that, she must remain pure, and thus far, she has. No drugs, no violence, no killing, and no sex.
What keeps Vera clean is a small loophole in the system. Her albinism keeps her from properly taking aim with a gun or any weapon. So instead of dirtying her own hands, she hires others to dirty theirs. She finds every flaw in the system and in laws and works through the tiniest of cracks to get what she wants.

Name: Yuki Von
Gender: Male
Demon or Angel: Demon
Species: Narazumono
Birthdate: July 14th
Age: 16
Height: 5’3”
Hair Color: Light Blue
Eye Color: Purple (He is blind.)
Rank: Bounty Hunter - Though Yuki is blind, which would normally make him a terrible bounty hunter. His weapon is a bow and arrow. When his familiar finds his target, it speaks to him telepathically. The arrow can then be guided by the joint power of his mind and the familiars to hit his target.
Faceclaim: Youji Sagan from Loveless
Ability:
Storm Magic: Yuki can create different types of whether storms, lightning storms, snow storms, hurricanes. However he can’t always control it. If his emotions go haywire so does the whether around him.
Power Theft: Being a Narazumono, Yuki has the ability to steal others powers. But he has to kill the person to get them.
Summoning: Yuki has a sort of familiar that helps him get around. The familiar is a small Margay Cat, but instead of being a solid form, it is made up of light blue colored air. This familiar is also the reason Yuki has cat ears and a tail. It helps him hear the familiars thoughts.
Personality:
Pathological Liar
Pretends to be Weak
Actually Violent
Cocky
Sassy
Background: Narazumono’s are often hunted down by other demons. They dislike that they can easily take powers from other species. Years ago a powerful demon created a monster that was specifically designed to hunt down all Narazumono’s and wipe them from existence.
Narazumono’s usually traveled in packs so they could protect one another, and warn each other when the monster got too close. When Yuki was still a young child, the monster attack their village, late at night when they were all sleeping. Yuki ran out of his home in search of his father who had left to go fight the beast. He found him dead. The boy began to cry, alerting the monster to his presence.
The monster attacked, injuring him bad enough that Yuki’s eyesight was damaged. As it was about to finish the job, Yuki’s mother ran in front of him, protecting the boy allowing him time to escape. He ran so far he made it to the Castle infirmary where the head doctor healed him as much as he could.
The doctor decided to take him in and project him as he grew, and though Yuki was grateful he eventually decided to leave the doctors company. He didn’t want to endanger anyone by being around them.
Now Yuki works as a Bounty Hunter, moving around as much as possible to avoid detection from the monster.
Roleplay Example: "Where is he Zuzu...?" He asked, tilting his head down to look at his Familiar. He couldn't see the other, but he could feel him close by. "We have to kill him you know~" A small smirk pulled at the boys lips.
Zuzu glanced up at him, speaking to him telepathically telling him where the target was. With that, Yuki pulled his bow from around him, getting an arrow ready. "Nothing personal." He said, his smirk never leaving his lips as he let the arrow fly.
So aside from Hunters and Pures whose White-Lighters have told them, are there any other humans who know of the realms? How would they find out about them? Can a human try to consciously become an angel or demon?
There are several doors that lead into both realms. Things that both sides opened so they can easily slip in and slip out quickly. Sometimes they forget to close them, since they are pretty much invisible. Like an abandoned building downtown in the human realm, going inside would automatically transport the person to one of the realms, even though on the outside it looks perfectly normal. So a human could wander into one and learn all about it.
Because of this they could try and convince either being to change them into an angel or a demon, so yes. A contractor demon would do it for them especially. They wouldn't care if the person wanted to be an angel or a demon they would change them, and have the power to if the offer they got in return was good enough.
Can Pures be unaffiliated with Aniova, since they are still human? Can humans be officials who negotiate with the rulers of the angel and demon worlds? Are there any ranks for humans? Is the world based on modern times or another structure?
Pures normally don’t even know what they are, or that angels and demons exist. Though that isn’t always true, sometimes their white-lighter guardians don't feel right keeping the secret so they tell them.
Humans who are fully humans can’t hold any rank in either of the realms. Though that isn’t always true either. If you want a human who has a rank somewhere in the realms there would have to be a good reason. Such as one of the royals found them important enough. Otherwise they wouldn’t put a human in danger like giving them rank. Humans can work in the infirmary though, or be one of the officials assistants without have to explain why.
Besides Hunters there isn’t really any ranks for humans unless you go for one of the things stated above.
The world is based on modern times, though demons and angels come from many different times themselves, and may be stuck in their ways, or just prefer it that way.

Soft spoken

Background:
Born as an Atiel, Israfil had always dreamed of meeting his soulmate. He would wonder if a person he passed on the streets, or his new classmate, or maybe an elite would be his soulmate, even if his timer said “84 years.”
As slow year by year passed by, Isra spent his days studying to become a doctor. He had little more power than a human, however medicine was a skill learned rather than born with. His efforts paid off when he was accepted to an advanced academy for medicine, when he was 37.
With 47 years left until he met his Atiel soulmate, he figured he could spend a few decades away from his city pursuing his career. The years passed by in a breeze, and before he knew it, his timer only had a week remaining.
He rushed back home immediately.
For the first few days, he went out practically every day, walking around everywhere, talking to everyone who would listen about how excited he was to meet his soulmate. By the third day, everyone knew he was, and his entire neighbourhood was just about as excited as him to meet his soulmate. Except his siblings, who were ready to rip his hair out if he ranted about who his soulmate might be one more time.
And by the time his timer said “30 minutes,” “20 minutes,” “10 minutes,” he was ready to rip out his own hair.
It was dusk, and the had just set, leaving a violet glow in the sky. It was the perfect setting, except he was completely alone outside.
Pacing anxiously, he wandered around the desolate town with his nerves almost falling off the edge.
Five minutes, four, three, two…
A pained yelp, quickly muffled by something, rang from near the walls of the elite city, which his town was right next to. On instinct, and years of medical training, he rushed toward the source of the sound—completely forgetting about his timer.
At the edge of the wall, he found a young elite on the ground, one of her beautiful four wings bent at an angle it shouldn’t be, and another elite girl frantically trying to teleport to get help. She looked up the same time as he saw her, their eyes met—and his timer hit zero.
It turns out she was born in a strict family, and was trying to sneak out with her friend to celebrate her 100th birthday, and because she had a feeling her soulmate wasn’t anyone in her city. She was right, it turned out.
Her wing was only dislocated, but it would still more medical attention and equipment than he had on him. So he offered to take her to his home, and her friend almost agreed for her faster than herself.
His every romantic instinct kicked in at once, and it seemed hers did too. Because right after he picked her up—princess style, of course—she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.
It seemed he had healing powers, after all. As their tattoos glowed, twin designs of winding crescents encircling their wrists—blue sparks snapped and cracked from his fingertips, jolting through her and snapping her wing back into place. It was a good thing he chose to become a doctor.
One hundred years passed full of turmoil in the form of her parents outraged her soulmate was a regular atiel; then two hundred where her parents finally started accepting him. Three hundred, four, one thousand years passed with the couple completely inseparable, spending most of their time in the elite city.
After that, it was about time they stopped being so dependant on each other. A painstaking, but necessary decision later, Israfil (who had completed his medical training by himself in the past 1000 years) moved to the royal palace to become a doctor there, and Isabelle, his soulmate, stayed back in the elite city to become a teacher.
Another thousand and some years passed, and they expected their entire lives to be happy and peaceful.
One day, he got a message from Isabelle, saying her friend, Anapiel—the one that was there when they met for the first time—was going to meet her soulmate that day. Isabelle was asked to go along with her, and of course, Israfil was invited as well. He declined, as he was a doctor in the royal staff, and couldn’t leave just for things like that.
That night, he woke up screaming.
His tattoo burned like acid, and he knew.
Isabelle was dead.
Israfil rushed back to the city immediately, frantic and devastaded—however he wasn’t allowed within the elite city.
Isabelle was killed by Anapiel in an accident. Anapiel’s powered awakened the night before, the power of fire. And in her delight, and immaturity in showing off, she lost control of it. A few of her friends were injured, however Isabelle, who was closest to her, trying to stop her, took the worst of it all.
It was no secret Isabelle was looked down upon in the community, she was an elite, yet she was soulmates with a regular.
However Anapiel, little, innocent Anapiel who was soulmates with another elite as she should, well, all she did was make a little mistake, right? It wasn’t her fault, not at all—rather Isabelle’s, for being so close to her. They couldn’t let Anapiel’s life come crashing down around her just like that, just because of Isabelle.
The elite community covered it up. They claimed Isabelle died in an accident, claimed her body was never found. Isabelle’s own parents made up a lie, marking her off as unstable, saying she was on the verge of falling.
And Israfil was beyond furious.
He began to hate them, the elites. Those who killed Isabelle, those who pinned the blame on her—he never even saw her body
Israfil knew he would fall soon, after all, angels can’t remain holy while hating their own kind. So before his wings disappeared, he left. He went to Utanthia, and tore off his fading wings. After convincing a vampire to turn him into a demon, he went under the radar.
For four hundred years, he planned his revenge.
And over the next five hundred years, he extracted it. Being a demon without any status meant he couldn’t step foot within Aniova, but that didn’t stop him. Angels visited the human or demon realm every once in a while, and all he had to do, was track them down.
It didn’t take long for rumours, and history to spread like wildfire within Aniova, with Israfil’s very obvious choice target: elite atiels, all with some connection to a long forgotten incident regarding a girl named Isabelle.
It also didn’t take long for them to figure out who he was. Hard as it was to escape angel hunters when they knew his idenity, he managed it.
His last victim, after countless others—was Anapiel.
He intended it to be quick, but she was powerful, and he found out she was the one who killed Isabelle. Israfil managed to kill her in the end, but not before receiving grave injuries himself.
The hunters were catching up, and he was too injured to move. He expected it to be his end, he was fully prepared to die.
However it wasn’t a hunter who found him, but the young king of Aniova himself.
And he knew. He knew about Isabelle, he knew about Israfil, he knew what the elites did—he knew everything. He understood why Israfil did what he did, how he felt—he put all of Israfil’s burden into words, all of his anger, hate, everything.
Instead of killing him, the king gave Israfil a lifeline, another chance even though he deserved none.
And for the first time since Isabelle’s death, Israfil felt hope. For the first time, he wasn't plagued by memories of Isabelle, or harboured hate, and in that moment, all he could see was the king.
His world crashed again the moment the king took his hand, and pulled him up.
Roleplay Example: Now I have two fucking nerds I can link. How wonderful.
New role! You can now be a demon hunter, angel hunter, or a hunter of both. These Hunters are only human. They work in groups and would not allow a supernatural being onto their teams.
There are parts of Aniova that can be accessed by demons. The poorer areas of the city for example. And also the castle infirmary and other sections of the castle. They do not have access to any of the royal areas unless they are a part of the Utanthian castle staff. Since they are 'trusted' or they are suppose to be.
