This is an old picture, don’t worry! I don’t have any photos of the rally, but we went to downtown Oakland on January 27, 2019 to see Senator Kamala Harris declare herself a candidate for the presidency. The lines to get into the rally were super-long, so we took the kids across the street to Oakland city center where we couldn’t see anything and only hear every other word. We were there in spirit though. Today, Senator Harris is the presumptive Vice President-elect, the first woman, and of Black and South Asian descent as well. Pathbreaking. Congratulations Vice President Harris! #oh and afterwards we went to Oakland Ice Center to go skating.
