Person: How have things been?

Me Inside: Well, there's been the constant sadness, and feeling that nothing matters anymore, I've been consistently thinking about death, then there have been the problems with self-harm, the hurt, the pain, the feeling that I'm lost and won't ever be found, and frankly I still don't think I'm better even though it's been ages and I don't know what to do anymore, because I feel so broken.

Me: Okay, I guess. There have been ups and downs, but it's fine.
