Serious zombie readiness has been a long time passion of mine. I take it VERY seriously and I love the community that I'm a part of. Unfortunately, due to my busy life, I'm unable to give this blog the proper attention it truly deserves. I feel as if I'm letting down those who actually care about the subject. For that reason, I would like to pass this blog along to someone who will be about to give this blog (and more importantly, YOU, the followers) the attention it/they deserve. Does anyone know how to pass ownership of this blog along to someone else WITHOUT granting said person my login info for my main blog?

would you recommend using nunchucks for a weapon?

Absolutely not!Nunchucks are very dangerous weapons and they inflict heavy damage... unfortunately, if you aren't properly trained, that heavy damage can be inflicted upon yourself. Though, as far as blunt weapons are concerned, nunchucks would be best used against the living rather than the infected.

What do you think is better to raid or scout an area: day or night. My z-day group is called the Blackouts and we decided to use the cover of night to scout and raid rival groups. Thanks

There is no ONE true answer here.... It all depends on the unique situation.

Scouting and raiding during the night does allow you to be more concealed. On the other hand, should something go wrong, it will make it  much more difficult for yourself in an area that you're unfamiliar with such as a rival group's territory. You can't see anyone sneaking up on you in the dark and making an escape in the dark could be what ultimately leads to your death.Like I said, this is all based on the situation you find yourself in, but if I had to choose, I'd choose scouting/raiding during the day. Sure, you're more likely to be seen, but you'll have the ability to see everything which is very important. Remember, a lot of stealth and covert military missions are carried out during the day.

I've read all of your posts, but there is one thing I was wondering. Which smg would you choose: MP5K or a TMP? I own both, but I wanted your take.

The answer is simple: BOTHI'm not sure there is a such thing as being "TOO" prepared. :)

I have a group of five very able people, all with specialties for when Z-Day hits. For example, I'm the Medic, as I'm a near-finished med student. We also have a weapons expert, herbs/plants/hunting expert, watchman, and commander that are all officially trained in their fields. On top of that, we've all known each other since kindergarten and we know we can trust each other. Even with all these pros, I was wondering if we should get more than just 5 people?

It sounds like you have a really great crew! Personally, I'd probably stick with what you have. Too many people can lead to serious problems. If you picked up a survivor here or there, I'd still try to keep focus on your core 5 members.

I'd just like to give a little survival tip here: If you plan on using a car for the apocalypse and you're stocking up on a lot of gasoline, don't. Gasoline is made out of materials that go bad. That means if you stock it up, it'll have no use when you need it because it won't work anymore. Choose diesel instead. It's made of more organic materials that don't go bad, so you can stock it up without worrying about future use.

Do you think that after the zombies rule the Earth, that the internet may still be up, or do you think the military will launch an EMP?

Chances are there won't even be electricity to power the devices that would allow you to get on the internet or to power all of the servers world wide. If zombies ruled the Earth, there would be no internet and you probably wouldn't have much time to even think about the internet.

What do you think is the best way to get food: MRE's, freeze-dried "astronaut" food, or game kills?

MRE's would be best to keep for emergency situations. You shouldn't rely on them though. Try to forage, harvest, fish, and hunt first. If you can't find any food what-so-ever, then go to your MRE's to keep you alive. MRE's are designed with your basic nutritional needs in mind. Not all freeze-dried food is done that way.

If you had to choose between a Bretta M9 or a Glock 17, which would it be? I have the M9, and the money to buy a glock. I wanted to ask for your opinion.

Both are very solid and (more importantly) reliable guns. My suggestion to to get your hands on a Glock and test it out. Everyone is different and it will mostly come down to personal preference since both are really great sidearms.

For building a compound to start over, how big would you make it and of what material? I've got 15-16 people in my group.

Construction isn't my specialty and I'm sure most of us can say the same. Instead of build a compound, consider using an existing building. Security will be your top concern. Also, try finding a building/compound near a fresh water source.
