I've made a discovery: Ichi looks like a fanchild between Kunishige and Chiaki

Hear me out: Ichi is around 15 to 16 years old, in which he is only 2 years younger than Chihiro. He has black hair like the two of them, but he has red eyes like Kunishige and acts more like him more often than not, showing their experience with either hunting and forging as Ichi's weapon of choice is a dagger. More and less, Ichi looks more feminine to the point he does resemble Chiaki more than Chihiro does and is more in tune with Sorcery/Magic to the point that it could be argued that they could be connected, not to mention their powers revolve around sleeping, either their powers work when they are sleeping or after using King Uroro. If Ariu wasn't a bitch and Kuniaki continued to forge more, then their second child could more or less be Ichi.

Getting an endoscopy today….

for me I personally got super invested in about chapter 9 so actually the chapter right after where volume one ends but personally I think the story picks up the most between 18-23 can you and then that feels a bit rushed since during a past arc he said in volumes extras he thought he was going to get axed so he tends to skip around during that portion but that portion is when chapter 9 is when the characters get really fun and you also get a lot more slice of life comedy moments
