As I study the characteristics and attributes of God, I find myself most assured by His sovereignty. What comfort to know that any troubles or afflictions that come my way must first pass through His hands. Because I am thoroughly convinced of His goodness and love for me, I know that all of my trials and hardships serve to strengthen and sharpen me, causing me to grow in compassion and empathy. What can the enemy do to me that my Lord cannot use for my good and His glory? Today I choose to rest in His sovereignty. 💖 #HeartStrongFaith

Our "graduate!" I'm so very proud of this lovely young lady! When I asked her about her hopes for middle school she said she wants to be known as the really nice girl who makes people feel better. 💖

We are broken people living in a broken world, and broken people break things. If you are worn out and weary, worried and weighed down by life's troubles, you don't need a solution. You don't need a pick-me-up or a quick-fix. You need time alone with your Savior. No one knows your heart like Jesus. No one knows hardship, hurt and betrayal like He does. No one can comfort you like He can. The Psalmist sang, "Better is one day in your courts than thousands elsewhere," and to this, my heart can attest. #HeartStrongFaith
