The Edge of Seventeen (2016)
@renniemar
renniemar:
It was funny how hugs had always been a part of her past live in Mexico but now she could’t really fully accept or give one so when her cousin hugged her, all Rennata could do was return an awkward one-armed hug. “Good, that’s good.” She said as they broke apart and with a curious frown she peecking into Becca’s bags and a broad smile curved her lips. “De eso estaba hablando.” Bringing her bag to the fron and opening it, she showed the other woman the two bottles of tequila and the bags of chips. “Had to bring an appetizer as well but didn’t have time to make some guac.” She laughed. The slight good mood between them decay a little bit as they talked about the storm. “I know. But at least people here is not going nuts. Yet. Hope everyone stays that way.” Rennie stopped talking as a loud thunder was heard. “Sabes? I’m ready for some drinks. Come.” Nodding towards the back of the building, Rennata did her best to dodge people walking through, heading directly to the back of a truck. “Time to start our own party. I’d invite other people but I’m not in the mood to pour people drinks. I do enough of that already.” She half joked as she sat on the floor cross-legged, mentally thinking and hoping this would be a bonding time with her long time cousin.
Rebecca laughed at her cousin feeling as if time hadn’t past between them-even if it was just for those few minutes. Both girls had always been secret trouble makers and loved to have fun when they were younger in Mexico: tequila was a bit part of that. “Well it seems like you are a bit more prepared-I just brought what I found in the back of my car.” She replied with a laugh and smile.
Another laugh came out while she followed Rennata out and towards the truck. “Yeah...don’t worry about it. Left a bottle in there when I first came in and poured a couple drinks anyway. They should be fine...I hope.” She mumbled and bit her lip wondering with so many Ivory and Vittoris in the same place if a fight would break out-it was bound to happen right? Sighing, Rebecca shook her head and sat on her knee’s as she grabbed to cups and began to pour both of them drinks. Rebecca had ran into Rennata only a few weeks ago and the two of them hadn’t really gotten a chance to talk since both were heading to work but now since that topic had come up, the woman thought it was a good time to ask and start with the basics. “A ver, cuenta me que ases? Bartending?” Rebecca guess since Rennata had said she poured drinks.

Jo: Hey chica! Service is crap
Jo: I'm... kinda alright? I'm at Charlie's. Didn't make it the safe places.
Jo: Did you? Please tell me you did.
Rebecca: It is! Charlie's?
Rebecca: Who all is there JoJo? Be careful....things aren't looking so good.
Rebecca: I'm fine. At the fire station...think it's time for some pole dancing don't you think? ;)

Rennata didn’t like this one bit. The feeling of being captive, useless to the situation and the lack of knowledge of what was happening to her friends. At least there were quite a few people at the fire station that she cared for and knew they were okay, among them, her cousin Rebecca. Sure, they were not quite as close as they had been in the past, most of it was due to Rennie’s own fault, not agreeing to see Becca during her time in prison and by the time she was released, the relationship with her cousin had completely changed. They still talked but it was obvious for both women it was not the same.
“Hey,” Rennata said, approaching to Becca. “Glad you made it safe here. You’re okay? Need something?” She asked, in an attempt to… how knew, really. “This is… just crazy.” She moved her head left and right, watching everyone trying to settle down.
Rebecca stood there observing the situation around her and how everyone was reacting. There were many confused looks as well as scared and guarded ones. She knew they needed to be careful since there weren’t just Ivory members here tonight. Also, no one from Ivory knew exactly what had happened other then they were attacked-and that was something Rebecca did not like one bit.
She smiled sweetly though at those who looked at her worried and hoped a smile would ease their worry just a tad bit. The woman also held a bag with three bottles of alcohol since she had been heading towards the Ivory where house and thought a few drinks would do the girls some good. Rebecca had been thinking about the other members when a familiar voice snapped her out of it. Rennata, her cousin from a lone time ago who had once felt like a sister to her. Now...they were more like strangers then family. “Rennata! Hi...” She said cautiously but smiled and gave the woman a small hug anyway glad she was here and safe. “Yeah I’m all good...and no no, I don’t need anything. But I’m glad I brought these,” she paused and lifted the bags with the bottles in them and laughed a little, “seems like we might need them.” Rebecca shook her head and sighed a little looking at everyone and whispered, “This is more than crazy...no one really knows what’s going on...”

Rebecca: JoJo!
Rebecca: Where are you missy? You okay?
Rebecca: I swear these messages better be going through...
Rebecca: Hello?

Open Starter Location: anywhere
Quinn is sitting still. Stillness is nice. Even nicer, the drink in hand. Vanilla vodka, sprite, grenadine. A dirty shirley with a twist. It’s her third. Her mind is turning over, as she is prone to experience. Past events often bubble forward when she is left alone, leaving her with a dazed sort of look in her bright, blue eyes. Moving to Montreal had turned out okay. It had. Things are coming together, and she is finally finding her place in this city. Though, with bills coming due and little money to pay them with, she knows she is going to have to seek out a true job - the only issue is how she gets paid. With a sudden burst of energy, she pulls out her phone, wetting her lips as she releases the sweating glass from her grip. Blinking, she grins as she types out her message, speaking the words quietly as she goes. ‘I realy miss yo u. Come see m.’ The message is sent, though not to the intended recipient. Instead, it goes out to a random number, her location sharing turned on. She is oblivious of her mishap. The lesson of the night would be don’t drink and text.
Rebecca had been drinking with a few of her girlfriends and frowned a little confused as she read the text that she had just received. “Looks like I’ve got a secret admirer...” She told the girls and laughed with a smirk playing on her lips. Looking around, Rebecca caught a woman with blonde hair at the bar looking down at her phone and assumed it might be her. “I’ll back right back ladies, don’t have too much fun without me.” She teased and stood up with her drink heading straight towards the woman. “Hey there stranger....you wouldn’t happen to be the lovely gal who sent me this message now would you?” Rebecca question with a wide smile on her lips as she slide the phone to her.
I’ll be right back
Plots For Rebecca
Hi guys! Here are a few basic plot ideas but I’d love for this list to keep on growing and develop with more fun/crazy/dramatic plots! Please message me if you’d like to do/evolve any of these plots!
bennett-kelly:
Anger wasn’t even a word that he could begin to describe how he felt about everything going on. Bennett was one who liked to keep his cool–this whole angry thing wasn’t something he danced around with very often. After a handful of minutes spent pacing back and forth, his eyes had finally landed on another set. Immediately, a dry laugh passes his lips, as he bobs his head as if to ask ‘what are you looking at?’
“Have anything to say?” He asks, looking to the other expectantly.
“Whoa! Easy there sherif...” Rebecca said and gave a little shrug. “I was looking behind you at the dead bodies when you just happened to look in my direction and assumed I was looking at you.” She tried to clarify but then added, “How did this happen?”
