Waiting Game || Rebekah&Tate
Once again, Tate was asleep in the library. It was seemingly becoming a habit of his; the routine always the same. He’d grab his books, his coat and his wand, head into the library and within five minutes he’d be asleep. He knew it was low blood sugar and this was easily a sign that he should start eating more but he’d been so busy lately, what with Terri and Josh and keeping up with his schoolwork, not to mention his lengthy letters to his mother, that he only had time to eat a meal or two a day. A book slammed on the desk nearby jolting the Hufflepuff awake with a start. Flying up in his chair, Tate looked around wildly. “What? What? Huh?”
In irritation from finding out none of the information that she thought she needed, not that she was actually positive, Rebekah slammed the book shut and was about to push it away when a boy a few chairs down jumped what seemed to be nearly three feet in the air. In fact, him being scared as badly as he was actually caused her heartbeat to accelerate as well. After taking a breath to steady herself, she moved her gaze back to the brunette, "Sorry," she apologized quickly as she kept her eyes on him, her head tilting slightly to the side as she questioned, ""Were you...sleeping?" with a bit of an amused look on her face.
