This semester, in my Theatre History class, I’ve been studying a lot about the Minstrel play genre, Tom Shows, and the overall just flat out abuse of an entire people group in America. Taking my exam this morning has basically been one big ass essay about it and I have to say that I’m all bent out of shape over it... It fruits me when people can’t wrap their heads around the fact that we’re all human and all in need of love.

I just don’t understand what about someone’s skin color could ever blind people to their humanity. If I had a time machine... I would LOVE to have had the opportunity to kick some haters and spread some real-deal Jesus love.

Tech week has begun. After being a backstage ninja for so long and suddenly being in all these Regent plays is straight weird. Not even like "look where I'm at now" but rather "when did this become a thing." I went to help move stuff on stage for my scene and the blacked out crew members were like "we got it thanks" and I was like "but but but that's what I always do." I miss it. Come April I'll be back in black, so I'm not in tears about it... It's just, different. Also, senior year is kicking my butt. Balancing academics with theatre and film hours and general housekeeping and personal care is... Maddening. Come May, I may demand more than that expensive piece of paper... I might protest and be like "I'll take a million bucks to go with my blood sweat and tears please." Lol jk. Not even remotely that rough. Just... Busy. And all new feels of responsibility and time-management. Would ya look at that... I'm basically a big kid now.
