You know what doesn’t sit right and will NEVER sit right...

How George Floyd, a good innocent black man went to the store to buy things who then was murdered by a police officer for suspected forgery.

Then the next day Peter Manfredonia, a white armed serial killer who was on the run across 4 states, was caught and arrested peacefully.

And how black and black ally protesters in Minneapolis protesting for the arrest of the officers who killed George Floyd, were attacked by the police. They were peaceful.

But a few weeks ago, white people stormed governments buildings in Michigan protesting the quarantine because they wanted a haircut and the police did nothing to them. They were armed.

The problem is clear as water. WHITE PRIVILEGE AND RACISM. It exists and is real. Deny it? You’re the problem. Don’t say or do anything about it? You’re the problem. Abuse your white privilege? You’re the problem. Don’t see a problem with all this? YOURE THE PROBLEM.

CRY WITH THE BLACK COMMUNITY. MOURN WITH THEM. STAND ALONG SIDE WITH THEM. FIGHT FOR THEM. BECAUSE BLACK LIVES ARE IMPORTANT AND THEY ABSOLUTELY FUCKING MATTER.

please please PLEASE be careful at the protests. bring all you need to be safe (helmet, gloves, googles). wear shapeless and logoless clothes, they will not look for your face but for the clothes (ex: a skinny man on a addidas shirt) of possible have a backpack with different clothes for when you leave so it's less probable that you get stopped going home. turn your phone off or don't bring it. turn the data off. bring first aid. anything you can, you will make a difference for someone. milk will ease the pain of tear gas, but it will lead to infection. water will not ease the pain but it will clean the eyes faster and the person will gain sight again. clean it from the inside to the outside (from the nose to the ear). if you get caught by the police twist and rip your clothes, anything to get free. scream your name if you get caught. there are always people filming these riots and this way people will identify you, go to your rescue or know who you are as it's on tape. do not spread images where you can see the people's face. it will put them on danger. activists have been killed because of this. learn and practice on YouTube how to treat bullets, how to clean eyes, how to do a tourniquet.

Her name was Regis Korchinski-Paquet, she was a 29 year old Afro-Indigenous woman. She was pushed off of her own balcony by the Toronto police and fell to her death. They are reporting it as a suicide.

Say her name. Do not let them cover this up.

Watching Narrative Telephone and later having a visceral realization that Liam's story was an allegory for Caleb's backstory made me feel all kinds of things. Which also made me think. And my Widojest goblin brain kick into gear.

The Mighty Nein are resting together in the dome. For some reason they're swapping stories and legends from their homelands. Caleb has just finished his story, the only sound left being the crackling flames for half a moment before the heckling starts. Jokes to get the mood lighter, of course, but none that directly make fun of Caleb's story. I think that everyone who knows could see what he meant by it. (If not then Beau and Veth would be roasting the crap outa the characters in the story and demanding Zemnian translations.)

I think Jester, being one of the only ones who doesn't know, would pick up on there being some kind of double meaning in the story. She's smart, she would connect the dots eventually. Maybe not instantly, but she'd get it. Jester would go to Caleb and ask if the story was real. And about him.

And I don't know what poor Caleb would do with that question.
