“Quit looking at me with those big pitying pity eyes.”

Squinting his eyes for a moment he looked around them to make sure Finn was talking to him. Pity eyes? What were pity eyes? “I don’t have pity eyes. i am just unhappy that you are unhappy. I thought that maybe those signs would work and they didn’t so now I feel bad about it.” Sam chewed on his lips for a minute as he looked at the girl in front of him. “I know how much you wanted the football thing and the doctors are stupid.”

“I like you. Like like you like you.”

For a single moment it was like her brain paused as the words moved over her before she smiled widely. “Really,” she teased lightly as she pushed a strand of Finn’s hair behind her hair. “I really like you too,” was added before she brushed her lips over the shyer girl’s. Sam knew it was just the push the other girl needed. It always was because yeah, super like was pretty damn good. 

“I can’t give away all the parts of me that love you, because there’s always going to be a part of me that loves you.”

Smiling lightly he moved his hand to cup the taller boy’s jaw for a moment. It was a brief second but it got his point across and he moved it downward to grip Finn’s hand in his.  “I get it,” the words moved out in a breath but he couldn’t keep his eyes from the deeper brown looking at him. “It’s kinda like having a piece of another person and never wanting to let go. 

“Sorry I’m so bad with words.”

Scoffing lightly she moved to sit on his lap with a practiced ease. “No your not. Other people are the weird ones,” she offered with a smile and a ruffled his short hair.. “ Your perfectly good, Finn,” she paused for a moment to nudge their noses. “I am going to have to remind you of that for probably ever.”
