faye, now a few drinks deep and fueled by the pulsating rhythm of the music, had abandoned all inhibitions. she stood atop the bar in the dimly lit club, her body swaying to the music. her normally sleek raven hair was a wild cascade around her, and her eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint as she beckoned others to join her. a brave soul handed faye another shot, which she gladly accepted, downing it immediately, grimacing a little at the taste, nose wrinkling. "shit, what WAS that?"
rebekah had needed this, a distraction and it was more than welcome. the ravenette quickly got her attention as she seemed to be letting loose and enjoying herself. she couldn't help the smirk that laced her lips as she motioned for a shot from the bartender before approaching her, and she quickly accepted. a chuckle passing the blondes lips. ''something a little stronger, you looked like you needed to take the edge off a little more.''

sleep proved difficult. dreams were like nightmares, and were so difficult to wake up from. stiles was lost. deep purple rings settled beneath usually bright chestnut hues. a straw was held beneath his thumb and forefinger, being used to chase the ice around his glass of soda. muttered words met deaf ears, stiles' usually chipper self was somewhat vacant for now. tired eyes flicked up, finding the face that the voice belonged to. "oh.. yeah. sure. uh-huh." stiles hummed, forcing a light laugh. he wasn't entirely sure what the other had said, so he hoped his response wouldn't get him in too much of a pickle.
the male had approached her asking what was wrong and rebekahs intention was to unload everything before then compelling him to forget however, he didn't appear to be listening in the first place so she supposed that worked in her favour but it didn't mean that she wasn't annoyed by his lack of attention towards her and what she was saying. ''you asked me what was wrong, then you chose to zone out. nextime don't bother asking, it's a waste of both of our times love.'
every dark, paranoid, aggressive part of him is more restless than ever following esther's betrayal. for her to lure them all into a false sense of security only to turn on them, to dangle forgiveness and family over his head then pull it swiftly away again—klaus can't tolerate it. "whatever it is she's done to us isn't going to go away just because you wish to ignore it, rebekah." he stalks closer, gaze flicking over her features, conflicted between wishing to join together with his little sister and refusing to give her the chance to put the next wound in his back. "we'll need to be a family again if we're going to make it out of her grasp, and that means putting all your unrighteous resentment for me aside."
the sound of her older brothers voice caused rebekah to let out a heavy sigh. perhaps she should not ignore it but for today at least she could try to so that she could come to terms with their mother betraying them once more. ''i'm aware it will not go away nik, but the thought of my family being torn apart once more because she cannot deal with what she created in the first place deserves at least a day to be ignored.'' her eyes searching him, he'd done some things in their time together the worse was sticking her in a box and compelling people she loved to forget her and yet he was still the most constant in her life and somehow always managed to care for her even if it was in his own way. ''we are a family. we just need time to process and figure this out, she's in this for the long haul nik. killing her wont make this go away.''
approaching his sister, kol immediately noted the look on her face. brows drew together in concern. the previous evening had been rough. finding out that your own mother would rather condemn you to death than choose to accept you for what you were, it wasn't the nicest thing to witness. of course, kol knew that rebekah would likely take it harder than the rest of them, being the youngest. hence, why he'd chosen to check on her. no matter what happened, he'd always put rebekah's feelings before his own. besides, kol already knew that the majority of their family didn't give a shit about him. so, his mother's actions had not been much of a surprise to him. as the blonde spoke, kol quickly raised his hands, palms facing her. "we don't have to talk about it. we can talk about anything but. or better yet, we could try to take your mind off it?" a brow arched, signature smirk settling on his face.
the blonde was put at ease when the sound of her brothers voice filled her ears. she wasn't sure she could cope with any of the others right now but kol? he seemed to always know the right thing to do. it was just a pity that they all had to spend so long apart because of niklaus and his daggers. she gave a soft smile before letting out a sigh. ''both of those sound like amazing options- i just need to get out of this house. I don't want to be here.'' the thoughts of the night before were something else. remembering elena disappearing with her mother- should have been the first red flag really. ''please tell me you have something in mind.''
there was a level of...awkwardness in the air. of course, caroline had known something was up - elena had met with esther privately after all - but this? the spell that elena explained...it sounded cruel. "i'm not...i'm not here to talk about it." she said softly, trying to sound sympathetic without sounding entirely pitiful over rebekah. she'd hurt people, people caroline cared about. but for her own mother to do this...well, that warranted a small white flag to be waved for the moment. "just...i'm sorry. it's...it's really awful."
rebekah hadn't expected caroline to know what whiney elena was up to with her mother but clearly the brunette had informed her. apparently she was out to ruin her life, and for what? so she could have stefan back? cry her a river. when caroline said she wasn''t there to talk about it rebekah smiled ever so slightly. being cast away by your mother was one thing but then everyone in town siding with her was another. however she was not expecting the apology that came from the other blondes mouth, telling that she was truthful rebekah sighed before finally looking at the other. ''i know we've done some...questionable things. but this...this is something else.'' she didn't have it in her for a sarcastic comment to the other, she was sad that her mother played them all pretending she wanted all of her family back together when in reality it was to destroy it once more. it's like she'd forgotten she'd done this to them in the first place. ''I hope she can live with her choice.''

there was nothing quite humbling like a family reunion quickly followed by your parents plotting the demise of all of their children. Just as she thought they could all finally live in peace her mother had once again proved them wrong and now each of them had a target on their back. at least her and her siblings could band together to try to fix this problem that was their mother but something told her this time wouldn't be so easy. cut from her thoughts rebekah looked up and let out a sigh, the discomfort clear in the originals posture. ''if it's about last night I don't wish to talk about it.''
